Dear Nintendo,

I recently had a problem with my Wii regarding corrupt system files, I emailed you and organized to have the console shipped to you for a repair. I have now received it back, in working condition.

Problem is - you've not repaired it all, checking the serial information you've just replaced it with a refurbished unit and decided to disregard all of the data I had on my system. All of my game saves, all of my Mii's, all my contacts and my calendar data. Everything (except for the novelty of the Virtual Console where I've just found I can re-download NES Soccer - that's fantastic, bravo on that one) is gone.

I now have virtually no use for this system because, well lets face it, I want an Xbox 360 and Halo 3 and money doesn't grow on trees. Nor does the time it takes to get back up to the last dungeon in Zelda - I'm not doing it and in my eyes the best part of the

Usually they should transfer everything unless there's absolutely no way too. That's a complete and utter bag of bollocks to be handed.

Aw....well if you'd known anyone would have backed up their data...hopefully they can get your data back.

But Nintendo customer service is nortiously shite...they probably dont transfer anything and just CLAIM theres no way...not saying it happens, just I wouldnt be suprised.

You can get game saves online and easily transfer them to Wii with SD card, can you not? I'm sure I've read about people doing it. It's very irritating and I understand your annoyance at Nintendo, but perhaps something can be salvaged.

Downloading saves could get you viruses......like loads of PSPs were bricked by that.

Well that, and your self satisfation of completing whatever games he had is all gone.

Exactly, the value of having a console is its data and completing these games yourself. I'm sure gamers everywhere would agree with me on that.

I fully intend on making a huge deal about this by the way.

The least they could do is put it onto sd. Not exactly a big job. Shame Nintendo.

If you want to make it large scale, check up the law. I'm sure theres something against the destruction of data.

Damn that sucks.

When my Wii's fan stopped working I took it in to this Nintendo spot about half an hour away and talked to them about it. They offered me a new Wii, I said I'd rather keep my save files, so they fixed my old one instead Smilie

Thats what you get for being a loyal fan.... why do you pledge loyalty for a company after your money?

Dear Customer, thank you for your e-mail.

I am sorry that you have lost your game save data but if you would refer to the warranty page of your grey Operations Manual that came with your Wii you will see a clearly printed warning that this may happen. It also says that by sending it back for a repair or replacement that you agree that Nintendo will not be held responsible for any loss, deletion or corruption of your files or data that have not been deleted or removed.

I am sorry but there is nothing I can do in respect of this matter.

Kind regards,

Your Nintendo Team

Bellends.

I say we organize an armed insurrection of Nintendo. And once we have taken the Nintendo stronghold, and assume control of the company, we can rename it SEGA, and make Shenmue III.
