Super Smash Bros. Brawl Official Thread

Ha, I happen to be one of those people who whore sheik all round. I just love the style, quick and most attack knocks the opponent upwards, which is great cos sheik is great in the air.

What exactly makes the fight boring? The fact that you cant win against sheik and get your ass handed to you over and over again? Or that she/he doesnt really have any special moves? The fact is the needle attack is brilliant for stopping projectile's other than links arrow.. The chain kinda sucks. But Sheik is different, relying on the hand to hand combat and extremely quick fingers

Come Brawl time with online (fingers crossed) We'll have a match with me as sheik and we'll see if its boring

Todays update

When Samus destroys her Power Suit, she's left with the Zero Suit. However, what she's lost in power and weaponry she makes up for in speed!

Once she turns that Paralyzer in her hand into a whip, she has quite a long reach as well! Not exactly the straightforward fight you thought it was, huh?

Well a pretty Samusrific few days that is. I thought that ZSS would be the next new character bio to go up. It still doesnt answer the question of how she can turn back into Samus but nice update anyway

You maybe good, but you can be great If you learn to use Zelda along side sheik. There is no real way to know witch one of us is better since we would have to play in person for a melee match. Brawl is goin to have some big differences from melee we don't even know if Sheik will be in it. I wouldn't mind if she went to brawl. The character I use though is Ness. Its not fun when My opponent is staying the same when I know they can change. I love fighting Zelda/Sheik because her moveset is so widerange it can get frantic.

obviously however good you are as Sheik, you can improve by extending your comeback by transforming to Zelda, up-Bing then playing as her for a bit

Zero Suit Samus looks nice. That's FOUR weeks with a new character introduced in each. Good to have Zamus out of the way - who'll be next? the anticipation is killing me

Top right shot, I bet the Piantas are having a good wank to that through their windows.

I'd rather Zero Suit was an extra character, or a transform type.

Definitely, I mean some recoveries are too far for Shiek to do with her blink move... so you transform into zelda and use her much longer ranged teleport.

When you think about it though she is kinda a transform type fighter. Her stun gun changes I'm guess with down B or something. You can clearly see her moveset change with her weapon It looks like her smash attacks with the whip may differ from the gun, but Im still wondering how she will play with the power suit.

It's alot easier to predict Sheik's/Zelda's moves If you only use one of them and Nothing but a sheild can stop Ness's PK Fire So you can rely only on those needles if you want You'll only end up as another falling star

To keep this going on topic with todays new update, which is probably the most intriguing update so far.

The first few shots are obviously rendered, which suggests the intro to the game. I do believe that this is the intro, and also a game type. Either its the main single player story, or its a different game type which involves characters turning intro trophies.

All that wrapped up with a black background on the site and the new "thing" at the end really marks this update out from the rest.

My guess is that it's the intro to the single player campaign. They're probably trying to flesh it out with more story this time, as the last game just kind of threw you into the game, no story whatsoever.

It is interesting though, seeing how they made this entry stand out from the rest..

That new bad guy looks crap. Could be the Hand manipulator from Melee, though.

As long as they dont kill of Jigglypuff...i'll be happy!!

will mr game and watch still be in the game? even though he was pretty much a useless character it was fun to play with him at times

DK really needs some more characters from his games, most likely Diddy Kong.

Also, What about Walugi? he's with Wario constantly now, is he going to be an unlockable character? makes sense to me.

No.... I would rather they get characters from different universes.

PS: Give me Poo from Earthbound also, he is poifect for this game!. I was always puzzled as to why he was not included and Ness was.

Unfortunately most 3rd party Wii games look like the first pic or worse ATM.

Does anyone have the original 64 Smash?, never played it myself would love it if they release it on the VC before we get Brawl. I think Nintendo released Paper Mario 64 recently because of Super Paper Mario's arrival here in september.{LS]

Yeah I'm pretty sure they will release it on VC, but probally after Brawl is released in Europe. Since Paper Mario arrived recently

Todays update is DK's stage Rumble Falls. Its is like the ice climbers stage in Melle, however it only goes up and up and up to the top where something is waiting,..

The top of the waterfall isn't the top! Keep climbing!

This is more like the levels I'd like to see, even though I hated Icicle Mountain in Melee.

Look Mario is climbing the ladder Thats a nice new skill for smash brothers.

Yeah except the level has a end. Im guessing one of the bosses from DK jungle beat will appear at the top.
