Note the ladder too. Thats cool. This is more like the levels Id like to see, even though I hated Icicle Mountain in Melee.

Cubed3 Member

An item of some sort, looks like a mine.

I'm liking the idea - I never used the moving stages horribly often, but they were a lot of fun when in the right mood.

I F-ing love it! Smilie , I bet those water effects will looks gorgeous and hypnotic in movement. I like the Retro Show also in the form of those ladders. You should be able to charge people under them so they get round of bad luck with some "servere" energy loss. {LS]

I think its a bumper upper, looks like it lauches people upwards. And it looks like DK has wet himself. Bet it looks gorgeous in motion. (the stage that is. Not DK wetting himself)

O yeh

Yoshi's back and bursting with personality! He can launch consecutive attacks and even smack around enemies below him mid-flight.

Amongst other things, he can now use his up special move, the Egg Toss, to increase the distance of his jump. That's enough to earn him a hearty welcome, isn't it?

Good stuff Smilie

Yoshi's lookin pretty good,, I never really relised until recently how much better the graphics are then SSBM.

Thats nice and all, but I don't think anyone ever doubted that Yoshi would be in the new game. We still havn't gotten down to any characters that we were worried woulnd't be there. (like pichu, Dr mario)

I think that all the characters that are returning from SSBM will be unlocked right away, plus the four (3) new ones. then we can unlock a bunch of totally new characters. thats how they did it SSB-SSBM.

Despite the cost of living, its quite popular.

As long as Rumble Falls isn't the new Icicle Mountain, I'll be happy. Stupid Polar Bears.. ._.

Yoshi's announcement is good, but I rarely used him in Melee and I doubt Brawl will be any different.

Cubed3 Member

im gonna like using all the character's final smash! especially bowser's, its so kool you can be Giga Bowser, thats what i wanted to do in melee, but i could only do giant melee with super mushrooms, but he still get bigg!!!

(try giant melee with only super mushrooms, and use mario's fighting stance(control pad), he's HUGE!!!)

You see, Master Cheif gets up, has his cup of coffee, and starts his day just like any other humanoid. It's what he does in his day that makes him so FREAKIN' AWSOME!
Cubed3 Member

Buy the Action Replay. Then you can access the debug menu and play as Giga Bowser! also, you can be master hand and carzy hand, male and female fighting wire frames. very cool! i think the gamecube version is 40.00 US

since I've been following smashbros.com, I've been looking for patterns in the updates, and I've found something interesting Smilie

initially, Sakurai gave us character profiles on a fairly random basis, right, but now he's settled in to a pattern of one per week...

week 1: Mario, Link, Pit
week 2: no-one
week 3: Pikachu, Kirby
week 4: Fox, Samus
...
week 5: Wario
week 6: Zelda
week 7: Bowser
week 8: Donkey Kong
week 9: Zero Suit Samus
week 10: Yoshi

Sakurai has so far profiled 13 of the 15 confirmed characters and if he continues at the rate of one per week (not including the week begginning on Monday Dec 3, Brawl's release date), then we'll have 18 more by the time Brawl is released, making a total of 31!

if he keeps on delivering obvious characters for a while, the next two months could have in store for us:
Metaknight, Snake, Falcon, Ness,
Luigi, Peach,
Jigglypuff, Sheik, Gannondorf, Falco
(roughly ordered according to certainty to return)

that leaves about 8 slots for more newcomers to the series Smilie

Good theory there, but I really don't think Sakurai has a set structure to his updates. I keep hoping he'll slip up somewhere and inadvertedly show Sonic.Smilie

Edit: Skyworld's up!

you loose a life, give a point to your opponent, or suicide you loose a point. He said the floor regenerates quickly, so I can see alot of frantic mid air down A attacks

"Stool jump!
Trampling the enemy, it is the technique which jumps!
That way it is what!"

"Jump! When and the jump button timing is pushed well, ......"

"The unexpectedly."

"And .

Using the back of the enemy, when the - it is with it jumps,
That is good with that.

You cannot use strategically excessively, it is it is not riding?
Well well, without either such a thing the ."

"The meteor you can use! How densely the it is."

look like a good way of geting around and stoping from falling

Cubed3 Member

What is a Footstool Jump?!

Well, it's a cool technique. Basically, you step on your opponent and jump off!

That's it!

Jump! Now press the jump button with perfect timing...

Boing!

And then you jummmmmmmmp!

Using your enemy’s spine like a spring to launch yourself into the air
is pretty fun.

What? You say it doesn’t have much strategic value?

No, no, no. That’s hardly the case.

You can use it to perform Meteor Smashes! Incredible!

Now we need to know what a meteor smash is, awesomes.

look like jumping on some one head in the air sending them flying down

a meteor smash is an attack which hits an opponent straight down Smilie it can be countered (cancelled) by pressing jump just as they hit you.

Mario's forward-air is one example...

This new technique sounds awesome, I'm glad that they seem to be expanding it so much more than the expansion from SSB64 to SSBM. There are loads of new techniques.

I didn't doubt for a second that this technique will soon be essential to any player's arsenal of strategies. I'm betting it won't be hard to master either. Smilie

Yeah, they really are cramming in loads of new stuff. Smilie

I honestly love this new technique. It really makes sense to me. I can see it becoming very important.

Important but also VERY annoying if used constantly. The kind of thing your friend would use to bug you. Smilie
