I don't see the point in Light type. The Dark type is bad enough as it is, but if there were LIGHT AND DARK types, it would just make Pokémon one of those cliché things where it's all about OH MAI GAWD LIGHTNESS AND DARKNESS AGH SRS BSNSS.

I think a type like Cosmic or Digital would be much more interesting. Although in all honesty I don't think there will be another Type.

There's no real need for new types anyway I don't think. They just need to balance up the existing ones a little better.

I'm still playing Soul Silver, wandering around Kanto now. I decided to 'bin off' half of my team for the new journey so that I could train up some others. Unfortunately, because the wild Pokémon's levels are so low while the trainer's creatures are so high, it's scuppered that a little. So I now typically carry around three or four lower level creatures for a new team, two or three of my bigger hitters to help them out. It's going quite well though, I have three badges and will have a much better balanced set of Pokémon when I'm done. I like that I can now go to my 'Team' PC box and now pick through a selection of worthy-ish beasts for whatever situation I'm going into.

My mains (I can't be bothered switching on to look at their levels):

I really hope the Azure Flute event becomes available soon, but I'd really like for the Sinjoh Ruins to be accessible all the time xD I love the music there...

I'm only playing HG on and off lately. I'm genuinely surprised at how short my attention span for it was, now I just feel like finishing my Pokédex in Platinum or finishing my new Emerald/FireRed run ^^

well the new game aside i am waiting to see black and white version. dont get me wrong i do like the remake it wasnt that bad of a game, im just more into the new.

Few evolutions, and Raikou is still frustrating me after a brief jaunt to Johto.

What's everybody's favourite follower Pokémon? I think mine has to be Mamoswine now. I also had one of the most awesome moments in Pokémon ever yesterday. I was interacting with my then-Poliswine, and it kept coming up with love hearts and saying it was blushing or acting shy. I double-checked its gender and it's a girl...it only went and developed a crush on me, like Chikorita in the animé, because I'd been using it so much in battle!

Amazing.

Mine's gotta be Gardevoir, since she's my favourite Pokémon and I had Ralts as my starter (kinda).
However I play as Lyra and my female Gardevoir still gives me lotsa hugs, hearts and blushes, so I don't know if gender matters, maybe girl Pokémon just do that.

Anyone tried to see if their male Machamp blushes and hugs Gold/Ethan yet?

I also really like being followed by certain legies. Some legies look incredibly awesome trailing behind you, and you can imagine the NPCs in towns going "BWOASHIT!!", especially at the likes of Giratina, Groudon or Rayquaza.

I'd run a mile if a fully grown Machamp tried to hug me.

Soooooooo... I left my PokeWalker at my friend's house, and I've been kind of detached without it.

It's like, "I'm doing all this exercise, and yet it's not helping my Pokemans."

I have a query, was wondering if any of you guys could help me with it.

Basically, I went to visit my Parents a couple of days ago, and I heard from my Mum that she found a couple of cartridges at her workplace (she works at a kids activity centre, so they're always leaving stuff behind when they go home ). Anyways, to my disbelief, one of them was Pokemon Soul Silver!
...the catch? It was a freakin German copy.

So, onto my query. As far as I understand, when games are translated for Europe distribution, it's usually into the main european languages all in one go right? English, French, German, Italian, etc. So, does Soul Silver have an option in-game anywhere to change the language setting? Would probably be in the same place in the english version too, just that I now have a Japanese and a German pair of Pokemon games, so I can't tell.

Unfortunately no, if your DS language and everything is all set to English and it's still German I'm pretty sure there's no way to change it.

That is I've never come across a language option in a Pokémon game before D:

Typical, we have to wait longer for games because of dialog getting translated into a number of languages and we only get access to one of them making the delay for the UK version pointless seeing as how we get the exact same game as the US.

Fuck.

Oh well, at least I have a valid reason for calling one of my creatures Hitler this time around.

I just managed to complete my National Dex on Pokémon Platinum!!
Finally, I've been playing it loads for like a year now, my play time is over 306 hours, I have another star on my trainer card...

BUT.
I didn't fully fully do it, I still need a legit Mew, Celebi and Jirachi. This isn't likely, but if anyone has a 100% legit not even cloned or caught with cheated Key Item not once Mew/Celebi/Jirachi, a tradeback would be nice I still need to get those three...

BUT STILL, FUCKING YAY!

I've got a Pokemon Channel Jirachi but can't get on Wi-Fi with my DS at the moment. Shouldn't we be getting a free Jirachi over wi-fi soon like they did in Japan ages ago?

They got that Jirachi in Gamestop stores across America a few months back, I'm beginning to think we'll NEVER get it in UK.

But the Movie Celebi is a deadcert for later this year.
As for Mew.... bleeeeeh Dx I need to put 1000 Pokémon onto Pokémon Ranch, but it can't connect to Platinum or HG/SS which is annoying...

Is any one attending the pokemon tournament on Saturday? I am struggling to find information on this. Why has it not been advertised more or easier to obtain information about this?

Just started SoulSilver again (got frustrated with my limited team on my old one, though I did have an amazing, amazing Starmie. I'll miss that little one), and I've planned my team already:

Not sure about the sixth Pokemon. I'm leaning towards either Kangaskhan or Clefable as I haven't had either of them before, but suggestions welcome.

So all you Aussies better recognize that the Jirachi event is heading your way. Yes, it's that Jirachi that has that move and at that level and gives that route.

And still no Jirachi for UK Dx urgh, it's like my second favourite Pokémon and I've never once owned a legit one.

@ Robsy, I wouldn't go for Clefable, it just doesn't seem too strong and it's a little boring compared to Kangaskhan

That's awesome! With the 3 Jirachi I've just downloaded (D/Pt/SS), I now own 4 legit Jirachi. Tis crazy. Now we just need Mew and Celebi. Though sadly the Celebi isn't given out over Wifi.
