Actually I wouldn't say growing up, but you could say it was at that time I began to take gaming more seriously. I grew up with Red Blue and Yellow like most people did, 3rd Gen is just when I matured and started to see that Pokémon was much more than what I always thought it was.

As for the design, I've heard this argument before, but all Pokémon are meant to look so different from each other that I think it's simply irrelevant. Believe it or not, 3 of my favourite Pokémon are from 3rd gen, and my 4th favourite is Raichu. Smilie

It's like Digimon, for me only 1st and 2nd series are good in my eyes. But Jesus Christ, the translation in Digimon is TERRIBLE. Like seriously, things they say seem so out of place once you get the jap, spanish or portuguese version. maybe it wouldn't make much sense in english the words placed are they were but even so, they put dumb things instead. IMHO kk??

I didn't like the second series but I liked Digimon Tamers. Why is it terrible? I don't really plame them since when Digimon was first translated, noone likes Anime or knew what it was, it was just a regular cartoon with a weird animated style. Personally I commend them for keeping so many Digimon with their Japanese names, and even keeping the story set in Japan. I was so expecting them to change the location to America, but they didn't, which was a good idea in the long run.

Still, the first movie was good...And at least they have a better feel for comedy than 4Kids.

And besides, that's why I watched the 6th season in the jap subs.

I recently watched all the pokemon movies again. (all as in 4-9 because I couldn't find 1-3 and 10....) and it was really lame but at the same time so insanely awesome!!!

@ Superlink, yeah i know what you mean, but i likes the first series prob cause of of the pokemon being better designed, like it had a lot of detail, and this feel to it. the other series, the pokemons seem so bland...

The 4th is going back to its roots in terms of design which is awesome, imo. Digimon was good, but dunno translation seemed really out of place, like there\'s time where Matt says: \"oh, i found my crest of friendship!\" then later on Genai explains to them what their crests are, and MAtt goes, \"so mine is the crest of friendship?\"

I like all the movies, Five wasn't as good as the others though.

I liked that the first movie had a sequal, it felt like some part of Pokemon had continuity.

Most people seem to like Gen III the least for design, and I agree even though my 3 fave Pokémon are from Gen III. My most hated Pokémon ever is from Gen IV though (Floatzel) and my 2nd most hated is Oddish. Smilie

Believe it or not, the 10th 11th and 12th movies are a trilogy based on Dialga and Palkia.

Lawlwhaaaat. Giratina is in Diamond and Pearl ASWELL, he's just featured more heavely in Platinum. Also he didn't create the universe (that was Arceus, Dialga and Palkia), he's just ruler of another dimension (some speculate the underworld)

While 10 is about Darkrai, 11 is about Shaymin and Giratina, while 12 is will probably be about Arceus. The thing is, Dialga and Palkia are featured heavely in ALL THREE movies, so the basic plot revolves around them.

The Anime isn't very accurate, although those 3 were never protectors of the world, but they are very strong.

@ PK, LMAO man hahahahaha I was talking about Digimon cause i managed to dwnld the first series, and HAHAHAHA so true, at the end, Izzy says to Tentomon, i'm gonna miss ya buddy, etc etc, and they're inside the train thingy and Tentomon says: "ok but before you go, can you fix those wind shield wipers?" i was like WTF? way to screw up the moment lol.

@ SUperlink, yeah man fair enough, but dude there's just so much of these mistakes in Digimon. It's hilarious, pay attention to when the kids get their crests, some of them know the meaning of their crests beforehand, which is wierd, then when they talk to Genai, they suddenly forget it. It's like sweet, i got the crest of courage... (5mins later) OMG! you're saying this is the crest of courage??? lol.
