He is right A dude, take note and apply more attention when making posts. There is certainly no excuse for bad spelling or typos in topic titles. Make sure your first post has some bulk to it, rather than asking the simple Q alone.

Cubed3 Member

The real question is "Do you like waffles?"

It requires great courage to look at oneself honestly, and forge one's own path.

The answer is, YES, yes it does give you nightmares if you eat it before bedtime.

There's no typo in this topic title, it's just totally unrelated to the topic. Topic titles should let people know what a topic is about

The bad spelling and grammar is to be found in other topics you have created. I think most on site will have noticed them frequently lately Smilie.

POLL HERE, i love ststastics

Which is the most annoying smiely?

Super mario 64 fans SAY HEEEEEYYYY!!!!!

O (locked)

There are some older members on site that dislike such post intently for varying reasons.

It's not hard and should not be considered a chore to employ the basics for the readability of posts, and the overall tidiness of the forum. Also the initial content of the posts are very light. This is not being anal, there are members here that expect this as standard.

Well then, Linkyhinks, Have you pestered anybody ELSE about spelling, or topic /title relations, or grammer?? I bet you havent, i bet you are just going after ME. I will TRY to lift my standards in the future, simply to appease people like you. But DO NOT EXPECT EVERYONE to have the same standards, 'cos they dont.

I am pointing things out respectfully, there is no need to swear. All I am saying simply is that if you are going to be bothered to start a topic also be bothered with the basics that most on C3 appreciate. After I have finished typing I read through as standard and make sure it's tight enough.

Don't think for a second I am down on you for being a forum member, I just would like to see all new members post well in time, that includes you. Believe me when I say there are others that would be far less tactful in their approach.

Apologies if you misread my intentions.

LS is right (though in the future LS, please send a Mod Alert too Smilie)

Here at C3 we really encourage use of perfectly correct grammar. C3 is not a chat room, and we don't come here to make a mockery of the English language, we come here to discuss a variety of topics.

If you can't be bothered to take care with your spelling and punctuation, that will really say something about your attitude. If you can't be bothered to write properly, then people won't be bothered to take notice of your posts, and your views will go unheard, especially with posts of this nature. The topic title doesn't always have to be completely related to the topic, but it's so off here that I could easily classify it as spam, and lock the topic anyway.

On C3 you are encouraged to post and share your opinion, but we greatly encourage posts (especially on serious threads) to be well thought out. It doesn't have to be all the time, but it will show that you want to make an effort here, and if you don't want to make an effort, the community will have a hard time accepting you.

Believe me; if LS hadn't pestered you already, the mod team would have done so eventually.

Not to be a jackass or anything, but if Jump-button can get away with bad grammar, why not A_man? I like J_B's posts, its somewhat fun to work out what the heck he's saying, but still...

I find jumps posts very endearing, although I would like to know just why they are brought to life in such a way Smilie

You are right, it does raise a dilemma. Personally, I think if Jump has a valid reason I say let him continue and try to get people to look at his posts in the same way if they can.

What's the deal Jump?

Yeah, grammar isn't a firm rule, but we do try to enforce it, and it does affects your reputation as a C3 member. :-/

The fact that some people don't even want to put effort into their posts saddens me though. It makes the forums look ugly, if you know what I mean Smilie and we have spoken to Jump about it before. The thing about about Jump is that he means well, and when you can understand his posts they're "usually" good points.
