See what would have happened had the plane not crashed was pretty interesting, as was the way they reacted to each. Obviously, Jack already knows Desmond, from the night at the stadium.

I still don't get why he was on the plane, so hopefully his reason for being in Australia will be revealed, as well as the whereabouts of Shannon (I think that's her name, Boone's sister)

Also, YAY missing children seen again.

And OH NOES!!! Juliet!!!

I really don't know what to think yet. The Flash-Sideways were very interesting with how different they were when compared to the original timeline. Will be interesting to see how the two timelines will connect if they ever do (it would be a waste of time if they didn't).

I was thrilled to see Evil Locke (Man in Black) confirm that he is the smoke monster. Was kinda obvious last season.

There were a LOT of differences on the flash-sideways plane ride. Cindy gave Jack only 1 bottle of alcohol instead of 2 and it was Rose who was assuring Jack when it was originally the other way around.

Hurley's change to 'good luck' Hurley is probably due to the islands demise. I'm guessing he won using different numbers.

One thing I loved was the music. The panic music when the others find out about Jacob's death gave me goosebumps (also played when the camera zooms in on the sunken island).

One thing we now need to know is when the island sunk. I doubt the island sunk immediately after the bomb went off. I think we'll be seeing Ben and Widmore in the flash-sideways which means they would have had time after the bomb to evacuate the island.

When it comes to the normal timeline, I'm glad that everyone is now back in 2007. It was also nice to see Cindy and the kids again. The asian 'other' was annoying though. Who made him the leader?

I think that Richard was on the Black Rock. Evil Locke mentioned last seeing him in chains. We'll probably be getting a Richard flashback to explain his ageing and origins.

Sayid coming back to life annoyed me. I wanted him to die.

When Sayid, Jin, Sun and (maybe) Frank all died in a few minutes of each other. Sun and Jins was particularly beautiful shot of their hands drifting apart n the sinking sub.

Also, the continuing story of off the island was interesting to see play out so far, and can't wait to see exactly how the two are connected. Theres been recollections etc between the characters which need explaining.

Also, whilst not fantastic episodes, it hwas interesting to see the back stories of Jacob/Man in Black and Richard told.

The island was all real and happened, the sideways view was the afterlife where they met after they died.

Lack of Michael and Walt displeased me though.

I have to be honest, I understood little of the ending and I thought they should have tipped the balance from reuniting people a little more in favour of ANWERING SOME DAMN QUESTIONS.

Lrrr, that makes sense. I didn't get that. So the last 40 mins seemed like... well. Tripe really. Assuming that's true, it makes it a little better, but not that much.

The biggest questions left hanging:

Statue?

Walt? He was said to be very important.

Why did Charlie act like he knew almost everything in that flashforward/side episode with Desmond several eps ago, than act completely oblivous to the island in the final episode?

So what really was Darmha all about?

ect. ect. ect. I'm too mad to write them out.

While it was nice to see everyone have a happy ending in purgatory, I would have liked to have seen more happy conclusions to those still alive at the time of Jack's death like those on the plane, Rose and Bernard etc.

The flash-sideways being purgatory was a bit of a cheesy way to end the story. Why was Sayid with Shannon? Surely his true love was Nadia? I can't believe everyone was so happy knowing that they were dead.

I guess it was never gonna end perfectly but there was much more they could have done in the time they had. I just can't help think that it would have been better to not have the flash-sideways and just focus on the "alive" world on the island.

When it showed the characters meeting in the afterlife, the flash backs reminded me a lot about the other series, making me want to watch them all again.

The theory that everything on the island was real fits with what is given. As the afterlife was not set in anytime, all the characters could revert back to one of the most important events of their lives, but live it out as if it never happened and then meet each other again (some say ghosts don't know/remember things, so that could be part of it). Seeing each other again with strong links to events on the island (Suns ultrasound, Clair giving birth) triggered memories.

The fact that Christian (btw, how did I not notice Christian Shephard earlier? Seems so obvious when pointed out) says that the others died before or after Jack lends itself to the explanation, as does Hurley telling Ben he was an awesome number 2.

THe Man in Black seemed to go down too easily. Having a fight and then Kate comes along and just shoots him in the back.

While I knew the final shot would be Jack lying and closing his eyes in a mirror of the first episode, I do feel there was more to be told with the other characters. What did Hurley and Ben do with the island? Was Desmond finally reunited with Penny for good? What of Claire, Kate, Sawyer, Aaronm, Ji Yeon etc. How did Jack get out of the hole?

I figure wasn't in the church as he became one of the whispers on the island. Ben didn't go in has he wanted to stay with Alex.

Early on in the series they did not have a definitive end in sight, and so added so much into it that it would have taken forever to answer them all. Earlier series had more of a focus on the characters themselves,with the island as a backdrop. It went more Sci-fi/actiony and they tried to bring it back to the characters

Also, did anyone else notice Dharma shark behind Charlie?

And didn't Nadia marry Sayids brother? In series 2 they were together before she was shot. Maybe they're happy as they realise that they have met ad loved each other before and they can be back together eternally. Love seemed to quite a major part of it

One thing I've noticed is that a lot of people are getting the ending all wrong. A lot are assuming that they've been dead all this time since the beginning when in fact, everything outside of the flash-sidesways happened and was real.

Quite confusing explaining it to people.

I know that the producers never planned to answer all the questions. Specifically what is the light/island was never going to happen. But the only one that really sticks with me is Eloise. We know she WAS the leader of the Others, we know she was Daniels mother, we know she knew and was like Desmond, but just what the hell actually happened with her. Oh well.

The island throughout the show was just a MacGuffin - it was just there to draw the viewers in to a finely laid out character drama. Many elements pertaining to the story were to create interesting parts to the plot

Also, the way it left off, the viewer only fully understands the same stuff that the characters themselves do.
