Robocop on blu ray 8/10
( Edited 14.07.2009 23:07 by saunderscowie )

Watchmen Directors Cut (Blu-ray) (region free)
The film was already pretty decent, and the Directors cut puts little bits back into the story to make it truer to the source. Makes it over 3 hours long though.
However, I found out today the Ultimate edition is released in December, with Black Freighter woven into the film.

Bruno - 3/10
There are a few funny bits due to some of the crazy situations that Bruno gets himself into (talkshow with baby OJ) but the film overall is just not worth the price of a ticket.
Bruno is the worst kind of person you could ever meet. If you were to meet him in person, you would hate him.
Several scenes also screamed \"fake\" to me.
I hated Borat aswell so I was expecting not to like this.

Bruno 7.5/10
Some realyy cringeworthy moments but generally funny. Follows a similar story line to Borat. Generally funny and some weird and dangerous situations.

harry potter 6/10
not that good

Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone 6/10
Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets 6/10
Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban 6/10
Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire 6/10
Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix 6.5/10
Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince 7/10
Not a great fan, however I did enjoy watching them. I just didn't like the acting and the fact everyone seems the need to explain the plot to you.
Oldboy 10/10

Goblet of Fire stil the best hp

8 Mile - Not that into rap but I really enjoyed this. The drama was pretty decent. 8/10
Journey To The Centre Of The Earth - Gets away with being horribly dishonest to the original book because Anita Briem wears less and less clothes as the film progresses. 7/10
Semi-Pro - not Will Ferrell at his best by any means but still pretty damn funny and worth a watch. The bear wrestling scence is particularly funny. 7/10
Hancock - I didn\'t think I\'d like this but I really enjoyed it. A great blend of comedy and over-the-top super-hero drama. 9/10

The International with Clive Owen. It was ok but it was really confusing to follow. There was hardly any action except for a massive shoot out in a museum. So I will give it a 7/10

Brazil
I can't rate this, it's wonderfully artistic, surreal, etc.; but, it still confuses the heck out of me.

Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince
They changed the ending. I was hoping for more wizard duelling. The film would have been better for it, as it didn't really have any stand out action sequences.

TRANSFORMERS 2
EXPLOSIONS YEAH ROBOTS YEAH AMERICA FUCK YEAH CGI BUDGET BIGGER THAN INTERNATIONAL DEBT DOUBLE FUCK YEAH.
sorry for the shouting, but my hearing has been affected by all the gun and explosion porn.
if you are under 15 you will probably not enjoy this un ironically/
ALSO BLACK ROBOTS TALK LIKE DIS, NIIIGGAAAAH.
How the hell did they get those two past censors ![]()

The Good The Bad The Weird 8/10
I prefered the normal ending to the alternate one.

Fearless: 9/10
Very emotionally moving, Brilliant action and a decent storyline
Battle Royale: 9/10
Completley fucking mad and a nice cast of japanese actors that i've seen a lot. Nice and brutal weird story, slightly clichéd ending. SEE THIS FILM

Just Saw
Eagle Eye

I love both of them films. I have the Director's Cut Fearless on Blu Ray which is quite good but not too much extra. I haven't seen the Special Edition Battle Royale with the extra scenes (such as a Basketball game), but it sounds promising. The book is great though. Well worth a read if you can find it (I found it in HMV, it was nowhere to be found in real bookstores).

I see Battle Royale in Waterstones quite alot. HMV sell manga?
Assembly 8/10 Really good Chinese war film.
The Taking of Pelham 123 7/10

Just watched Punisher WarZone. It had a really confusing story because the events on how Frank Castles family died were completly different than in the first film. I dont know if it is a remake or looking at the film in a differnt perspective? The action was more violent than the first movie, plus it had the introduction to Castles nemisis Jigsaw. So overal I would give it a 7/10

Yeah I saw the manga in Waterstones, but the original novel wasn't in stock there when I checked.

The Big Lebowski 9.78/10
Cult Classic. Also makes my sides hurt.

Jet Li's Fearless 9/10
One of my favourite martial arts films.

Gran Torino 8/10
Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance 7/10

Chocolate: 6/10
It's from the same people who made Ong Bak but not nearly as good. The action scenes were mediocre at best and the storyline wasn't that good either. Also Tony Jaa wasn't in it.

Moon was brilliant, saw it last weekend. If you like 2001: A Space Odyssey you'll enjoy it, and I think it's one of those sci-fi films that's accessible to everybody, whether they're heavily into sci-fi or not (I'm the latter). There's no point me saying anymore about it because it'd just ruin it.
9/10.
