G.I Joe. Went out with a few old school mates to lakeside shopping centre, and watched it in view. Had a lot of action but didn't really keep me hooked for long. I knew what was happening and all the twists were a bit obvious from flashbacks. I'd say 4/10.

    Inglourious Basterds - 9/10

Basically, if you enjoy Tarantino, watch it. It is miles better than Death Proof (Planet Terror was my favorite part of Grindhouse). It is a film that has been splitting opinions of critics, but I personally liked it. It has some good Tarantino humour and Brad Pitt was also quite good.

    The Italian Job (1969) - 10/10
A classic in every right. Unlike that other version... The film has quite a few iconic moments, including the awesome Mini chase around Turin, and that oh so sweet classic literal cliffhanger ending

It's from the same people who made Ong Bak but not nearly as good. The action scenes were mediocre at best and the storyline wasn't that good either. Also Tony Jaa wasn't in it.Smilie
I enjoyed it despite all of the wirework. It was more of an advertisement for Tony Jaa though.

GI Joe - THE summer blockbuster. Forget your Transformers 2 and Watchmen rubbish, this movie shows how to do a true movie based on a comic/cartoon/toyline.

Other than some plot changes the characters are all recognisable as their original source material, as well as using newer source material such as the nanomites that played an integral part to the GI Joe comeback comic. The movie also keeps the flavour of the source material, the plotline is as corny and ridiculous as the cartoon but also keeps the maturity from both the late 80's and early 00's comics. It didn't feel the need to change characters in an overblown method or make them unrecognisable from their source material.

The movie was well acted, especially considering that the majority of actors are up and coming or just missed the spotlight. The action is tight, clear and well coreographed and apart from some shaky cam moments it is never confusing or painful.

GI Joe knows where it came from and knows who its aimed at, it never out stays its welcome and thoroughly entertains throughout. It only ever mentions it's tagline of "The all american hero" once and even then it feels like it should be there.

Quite simply, get your ticket, get your popcorn from the concessions stand, sit down and enjoy. 8/10

    Equilibrium - 8/10

I was pleasantly suprised by this film. I never expect much from western attempts at martial arts but with this pulled through with some nice cinematography. The Gun Kata were cool, but Bale's swordsman ship was even more so. He mimicks the fiction style of Zatoichi, with the reverse grip. Its quite cool.

It was a fun, non-serious action flick, exactly what I expected it to be.

Paul Mart: Mall Cop. Surprisingly funny but a little predictable in places. 3/5.

    Outlander: Yawn...... 1/5.

Far Cry : Yes it was based off the game, but the movie was a Far Cry from the Greatness of the game. Aswell as being far too short. still, not too bad. 2/5.

    Inglourious Basterds - 7.5/10

Probably Tarantino's worst, but that doesn't mean it's a bad film. Some parts retain that quintessential Tarantino charm (see what I did there?..I crack myself up sometimes). My main gripe is that the middle of the film seemed to drag. It may be well written but some parts couldn't hold my attention long enough as the tension wasn't well built (for those that have seen it, I am talking about the Basement Bar scene).
