Someone please help
I just got supersmash bros brawl in the post and my wii wont read thecd. I have chacked its the PAL version (like my console) and it still runs other cds.

It is because the drive is dusty and struggling to read the dual layer disc Brawl uses, probably.

Yeah, what Ikana said. Wii struggles a little to read dual layer discs. If where you keep your Wii is very dusty or if people often smoke in there that would be why, other than that it's just bad luck, some Wiis are probably mopre badly effected by dust than others.

Nintendo will offer replacements though. There are methods of getting dust out of your disc drive, I've forgotten most of them though. Smilie

Does anyone have any i deas how i could clean it. Nintendo are offering to clean it for free but i need to play smash ASAP.

link12 I've got the same problem. There are two ways you can handle this problem: First you can either send your Wii off to Nintendo to get it cleaned or second, you can keep inserting and ejecting the disc from the Wii until it works (this is what I do).

u can buy stuff at a shop but idk if it work this is why i keep my dust free

You cannot keep something in your house dust free unless you cover it in clingfilm or something...

LOl. I'm lucky - me Wii is shitted up but it still runs Smash Bros. Smilie

Mine just makes horrific sounds whenever it's trying to load anything, as if there's a small robot trapped inside my Wii, wailing and trying as hard as he possibly can to get out...

Is that normal?

I have decided to send it of to nintendo to get cleaned.
Looks like i will have to rely on my PC and DS for a while.
And there will be more waiting to play Brawl Smilie

Great, you can rely on PC. Usually, when i am waiting for Pre-order, i play on PC and once in a while DS.Smilie

My Wii sounds like its trying to destroy itself when it loads stuff in Brawl...a bit concerning. Still, it seems to be working well enough.

Trying to think of a witty signature after 'Hacker-gate'...

My Wii made the horrible robot noise yesterday when I first loaded my PAL Brawl.

It's not making it anymore though. I noticed that this morning.

Probably the wii is trying to apdating the air, i am not so sure about it either.

Yeah, mine makes a noise as well. Quite annying really. It also sometimes starts making the noise for other games as well, and turning it off then on again stops it.

Ya mine makes that alwell usually at loading screens and shit. At least it's not as bad a 360's fucking fan! Christ, if I'm not playing the 360 I HAVE to have it off the sound recks my head!

lol adapting to the air. What a smart computer indeed!

Mine has this problem when loading Wii sports and SaTSR sometimes so i probably won't be able to play brawl. Just blow it for ages and see if that works. It works for me sometimes.

Hmmm now you all mention it, mine is chewing my Brawl like gum. I remember MySims, my Wii never wanted that game in it. Oh the noises... but Brawl is making scary loud noises too now. It didnt with my import. Im quite concerned

My pictures wont appear so heres a smiley
