Uncharted 2 and Ratchet and Clank look meh, but Heavy Rain looks amazing. I really loved Fahrenheit so this is my most anticipated PS3 game.

Apparantly, The new PS3slim has no power brick like the original and is built into the console. Tis a shame as the PS3slim would look much better if it wasn't so square.

The original didn't have a power brick either. suprised this one doesn't (didn't look like it in the unboxing video)

I heard the other way around. They gave it a power brick to make the console itself smaller.

What the 360's excuse? But on the serious, yes that's the reason why.

I may be wronf, I can\'t remember where I read it. With or without, I was hoping for something less square. It\'s even wider than the original by about 1.5cm.

Redesign, as in, not the pretty much exact same shell with slightly different bits inside it!

They're not redesigns though. They're just a different hard drive (in one case a lack of one) and the last one has a lick of paint on it. They are all extremely similar, with slightly different innards depending on age.

Just watched the new video for Firmware Update 3.0, and i'm excited the most about the new themes coming out. Day/Night cycle seems awesome. And they finally fixed up the information bar in the right hand corner

Holy hell, the Slim has a BRAVIA Sync HDMI feature meaning people with BRAVIA TV\'s (like me) will be able to use the XMB with the TV remote. Also when you turn off your TV the slim will turn off also.

Not sure whether it\'s exclusive to the Slim or if it comes with Firmware 3.00. Cool little feature though.

I think it comes same day as the Slim. Read it on Neogaf, not sure if it was confirmed I fell asleep

Yes they're always worldwide updates.

This is the creator of Far Cry and Crysis also head of Crytek detailing all the features in depth of the CryEngine 3 (which is available to licence in September) running on the PS3. Note both version are practically identical but Cevat is always more of a PS3 guy. Enjoy.

Microsofts conference was rubbish. Fable 2 is being released in an episodic manner on Live, and Fable 3 is out next year. That was it...

They\'re being kinda quick with Fable 3 aren\'t they? It\'s gonna be the new Guitar Hero!

Although to be fair, it\'s not a big event, and Fable 3 is a big announcement. Also we pretty much knew what Sony was gonna reveal anyway xP

This is the problem a lot of people are having. It WASN'T a Microsoft conference. It was a Lionhead announcement briefing. That's why only Fable was mentioned.

Ah, the site i read it on listed it as just the Microsoft Conference. And considering Molyneux is Creative Director of Microsoft Game studios for Europe, i just assumed the site was right.

Edit: and according to the official schedule it was both a Microsoft and Lionhead conference

Why do people keep saying this....it's gonna be 2 years after Fable 2, which is the typical gap between sequels.

It is quite strange how it was advertised, but I think they probably said 'Lionhead/Microsoft' because of Molyneux's position within Microsoft. I thought they might have taken the opportunity to try and gain some ground on Sony after their successful conference, so I was a little surprised, too.
