You're kidding, I only just bought the fucking game! Maybe I should take it back and get a refund, and put the money towards this? Wankers.

The game of the year edition isn\'t anything to be upset about. It merely includes the DLC which is basically a few creators packs and the metal gear pack. It also includes a a selection of exlusive user-made levels, but with there being thousands already to choose from, I doubt anyone will miss them. (no offence jump).
There aren\'t even any plans for a release outside of the US atm either. ![]()

sorry to for a 2rd post but
Head Tracking in Gran Turismo 5
Back on the 18th of August we uncovered a feature list on the Japanese Gran Turismo site that included the number of cars, mention of damage modeling and of what appeared to be head tracking. Yesterday, after nearly a month, this news started to appear on other sites, including Eurogamer, prompting you guys to flood us with tips. So, we thought we'd better take another look. As we said back then, "via the PlayStation Eye the game will move the cockpit camera… it's possible to check the interior of the car in full 3D" but we weren't 100% sure of the exact translation - turns out we were right. We now know that the head tracking option will be limited to the internal cockpit view in the game - which makes the most sense - you won't be able to use this new feature to look around the exterior of your car, for example. Somehow, presumably employing some kind of black magic, the guys at Polyphony are using facial feature recognition to track the movement of your head which in turn adjusts the camera inside the game, meaning you can look up to view the top of your car (and the rear view mirror) or look left and right as you pass your opponents with a hearty smile and a middle finger.
Sounds good, right? You're excited to be able to use this feature to look ahead to the next apex, to plan your corners and keep an eye on the tachometer? Well, next time you're in your real life car, try it - do you find yourself moving your head a lot, or just your eyes? A quick test in my faithful SIII tempts me to think I look with my eyes, not my head, especially for split second decisions, and of course we don't currently know for sure whether the game will track the movement of your eyes. If existing PlayStation Eye tech is what we're going to base this off, I'd say no, but hey, maybe in a month's time we'll finally get proper confirmation of this…
and a new demo show up

FFVII Advent Children Complete looks soooo good in HD, and the extra scenes kept things fresh.

That's a rubbish film, shame on you. I reckon you'd also notice a certain modelling gaff in a certain fight scene a lot easier in HD, too. Anyway, fucking pants film, man. I got my 2001: A Space Odyssey Blu-ray on Wednesday. Can you believe I cried at the end? It's not even a sad ending ![]()

Coming out november 1st here, already have it pre-ordered

It's not a pants film. Spirits within was a pants films. They added and revised scenes. If you didn't like it then all's well and good but I liked it and others do too enough for them too keep going with it. Then it can't be that bad.

Advent Children looked lovely and I do want Complete. The fight scenes were cool and it was decent fan-service all around.
Really my only problem with it was how monotonous and emo Cloud had become. Infact, that's a big problem to me.
Also Sephiroth was just pointless, I heard it's a lot more fleshed out though now, which is great.

Did it not ruin FFVII for you? Did for me.

Considering I\'d played FFVII for the first time after seeing AC like 5 times already, and FFVII is my 3rd fave FF ever anyway, I don\'t think it could\'ve been that big a deal.

Oh it ruined FFVII for you
That kinda sucks. I would like to hear/read why that is so I can get a better understanding.
I didn't take it too seriously, I just wanted to see the FFVII universe in high detailed CGI
Also the fights scenes were awesome, especially what sephiroth did to Cloud that was brutal.
To Superlink
Yes it's more fleshed out, every scenes longer or different, there are re-voiceovers and to complement longers scene the musics had some alterations also.

Well it was just the overall cheesiness of the damn thing. It was just an action film which could have had any characters from any universe in it. I know a few FFVII aficionados that feel as if they should have just let it lie at the end of the original game. It was so perfect, why go and ruin it with some rubbish, cheesy-as-hell CGI bollocks?
When I play FFVII, I don't imagine the characters having really whiney American voices and doing loads of ridiculous kung-fu acrobatics. And Barrett looked like Craig Charles in Advent Children? I dunno man, I see nothing of merit in that film. It's just absolute trash. At least Spirits Within was an original storyline that didn't taint any of the games in any way, and you could just watch it as a dumb action flick.
Advent Children (and everything else in the Compilation of Final Fantasy VII) is nowt more than a consequence of Square-Enix deciding it would liberally milk it's fan-base. From what I hear (I have yet to complete FFVII), the original game has a nice, final ending that feels like a perfect resolution. Why dig it up after that? Bringing Sephiroth back was stupid.. the whole film is just stupid, in my opinion.
You seen the graphical glitch in the fight scene in the church, yet? When Tifa is fighting the guy with the robot arm thing, there's a bit where she's on the floor and you can see right through her tits. Like polygon-clipping in a game.

Polygon clipping tit issue? I'll be back soonish.
Oh you're totally right about everything you said, I just like the FFVII universe, plus there's the Japanese track for those who don't like the US bullshit. I watched Shaolin Soccer in Cantonese never English.
Also I lol'd at Craig Charles, I don't know how he went from Mr T looking to Craig Charles either. Only thing I hate about AC Complete is Denzel that little kid gets a bit too much screen time here.
I also hated the FF7 Compilation milkage.

I have to agree with Martin_ as even though advent children is very pretty indeed, it still is a rather terrible story linked to the FFVII world. It also does reak a bit of cheese, especially the hands coming out of nowhere to throw him even higher to hit the bahamut that doesn't feature in that game.
Martin_ you really do need to reach the end of FFVII it really is a fantastic ending to the game. I felt it was powerful the moment you enter the crater to go down to the final battles.
I both want and don't want a remake of VII. I suppose if it was to be remade, all I would want is a graphical improvement.
I doubt any game will ever have the same impact on me that game had.

After completing FF7 for the first time, I was like, \"is that it?\" It leaves a lot open to imagination. Not saying that\'s a bad thing. I liked it like that.
I liked Advent Children. It was a nice little addition that filled in some gaps that FF7 left open. It\'s a bit confusing but Advent Children complete seems to fix that from what ive seen of it.

I just got Uncharted today for £7.99! I'm looking forward to playing it. I just hope it doesn't freeze, like it has been for some people on here.

If you have firmware 3.00, it will freeze. However, I found a way of greatly lessening the amount of freezes (I think). Go into options and turn \'Hints\' off. Before I did this, I couldn\'t play it for five minutes without it freezing. Since I turned Hints off, it has frozen only once (and that may just be the game, rather than the new firmware). I played it the other night for three hours straight (played through a few levels, got past the fort), no freezes at all.
I\'m loathe to say that this is a definite fix, but it has seemingly worked for me, thus far. By the way, I haven\'t disabled auto-saving, so my game still auto-saves just fine.
( Edited 13.09.2009 16:03 by Martin_ )

I read some one did fix it by turning the autosave off, and just manually saving as necessary.
In other news, the trophies for Uncharted 2 have been shown, and they are pretty much the same as the ones for the first game, except for two multiplayer trophies (finish a coop/competitive game). But now there are 100 treasures to find, there's another Strange Relic, and with a few different weapons

Well i know i'll be doing a Hard and Crushing run, then a trophy run on Crushing. Can't wait to see what bonuses are unlockable in this one, another donut drake hopefully

High 5 Mage, You know I'm starting on hard first.

Ahhh! I've been playing it for hours without any freezing and then it's frozen in a dungeon where i'm running away from some creatures after the roman numerals bit. :-x

Also, if you Pre-order Uncharted 2 from Play, you get access to the multiplayer demo starting tomorrow. After you get the code you can just cancel the preorder and still be able to play for a month
