Sooo...anyone else manage to get the Modnation Beta?

From the one race that I've managed to play online, I find the directional controls to be too sensitive. THe frame rate is choppy as hell, and there seems to be quite a bit of clipping in it as well. And I keep getting disconnected for some reason, really annoyingly

Offline, apart from the control everything else works fine and the ocassioanlly long load times, and the creation tools are nice

Just Cause 2 it looks awesome doesn't it? Well it, like Halo 3, Uncharted 2, Skate and Ragdoll Kung Fu will have a video capture feature, the difference is you can capture and send it to youtube. The even bigger lol is it's exclusive to PS3?? Why doesn't it get 360 love? I'm guessing because it has no Interweb Browser.

Just Cause 2 not coming out on 360? That's a surprise. I never played the original, but I heard it was a good laugh. I'm waiting for inFAMOUS to arrive (Platinum range ftw!). Played the demo, seemed like a cool game. Liked all the crazy climbing out, didn't like all the enemies being clones of the same hooded goon, though. I've extracted pretty much all the love from GTA IV (completed it and both the expansions on my 360), so I fancied a new sandbox game. It was Prototype or inFAMOUS, I chose the latter.

It is coming to eggsbawks just not the video recording, youtube upload, 30 second replay feature aren't going to make it to xbox cent-soixante. This new just cause is crazy because you have this tether which you can hook on to objects. Like a moving enemy car, and the other end can be hooked to an immovable statue roadside.. let's just say that car don't chase you no more. Kinda Uncharted inspired also.

Infamous! You did the right thing, that game packs a punch. There's like 3 different enemy types, ones for each island.

"three different enemy types" is a boast you'd see written on the back of a NES game. Come on, now!

Still a really cool game, though. I bummed the demo. I really like the look of Prototype, as well. May pick that up in the future. I mainly went with inFamous because I'd actually played it and it was cheaper.

LMAO I'm not touting it as a feature you'd see bullet pointed, I'm just saying there are a clan for each Isle and some are Goliath sized and you get this huge scrap metal robot things to fight against. Just keep playing.

Bayonetta v1.01 patch allows installation of the game to improve the once terrible load times (even when you Pause Game was liked 5 seconds). Frame rate seems better too.

It really pisses me off they didn't put them in the game in the first place. Especially the part of Florence which is going to be used in Sequence 13 which is still locked of at the end of the game.

Even the book of the game included these parts...

And lack of mission replay still sucks as well.

Although the addition of the special memory is good for those who missed the trophy in Venice

Yeah Capcom pulled the same gag with RE5. I've yet to play it but it was hella cheap, so I can complain really.

Been playing mah inFAMOUS since yesterday, and the night before I finally got the fucking nuke on Modern Warfare 2! People were getting really angry at me and calling me a fag and whatnot, it was great!

Edit: Completely forgot - but MAG tomorrow! I pre-ordered it weeks ago. I get an exclusive S.V.E.R. skin off Play.com. Can't actually wait for MAG. I hope it's everything they've been saying it is.

I've been playing MAG for the last couple of hours - it's pretty feckin' special! Haven't had a 256-player match yet, you have to get to a certain rank to do that. Had a 128-player match, though! Absolutely fucking jokes game!

I played the MAG Beta and I thought it was a generic FPS, just with loads of players.

Define generic sil vous plais.

FFXIII Collector's Edition has been announced. It's on ShopTo for �£57.85 here.

Cheapest site is The Hut at �£54.73, here, although I don't think I've bought from there before.

It's tempting, and I do have a preorder down for the normal FFXIII with ShopTo at the mo too, but I'm just thinking, is it reeallly worth the 55-60 quid asking price (an extra £20 or more) for this 'Collector's Edition'? It's not a full soundtrack CD you get for starters. I think CE games should contain a bit more.

I want to get FFXIII on release, but I'm not sure I'm willing to pay the asking price of the CE version, even if I am tempted by it simply because it's FFXIII.

Perhaps I'll just keep my preorder of the normal version for now.

Ugh, they're making us pay over £10 extra for "not even a full soundtrack"? Please. Star Ocean 4 Special Edition was at regular price in no time and that had a full soundtrack + artbooks 'n' shit.

Not that I bought it. Really wish I had done.

See, that makes me think if I just wait a while, it'll come down in price and be closer to the price of the normal version. But, I want the game on day one, so I'll be getting the normal version anyway. And by then, it's not worth getting the Collector's Edition when I already have the game.

It's a piss take. I think if the CE had a lot more to offer, I'd buy it. But the normal version is £35 on ShopTo and I'm not prepared to fork out nearly £60 for a special version which doesn't really contain a whole lot more.

Mag update:

Just got finished playing a seven hour+ session (how do I manage playing the DualShock that long without any discomfort, SuperLink?), got to Level 18, nearly 19. It took me a couple hours to change from my COD style of gameplay. Wasn't just the different button-layout, it does have to be played differently. Then about three hours ago I realised that you could purchase weapon attachments and perks in the barracks menu. Got my self a new gun with some attachments and perks, been ripping it up since.

Have been Squad Leader once, and we won that game! I play on the S.V.E.R. team, who are the 'rebels/bandits' of the three outfits. I cannot seem to find out how to create another character to play for another outfit. Maybe you can't. Not too fussed, I like S.V.E.R. Valor company looks like roid-raging fags (sort of Gears-ish), and I can't remember what Raven company looks like.

Anyway, it's a really excellent time. If you're a COD player, it'll take you some time to adjust to MAG. Give yourself a chance to do that before you give up on it. The graphics are rubbish in some respects, but you've got to expect a visual-hit when 256 players are all in the same arena, simultaneously. Had loads of 256-player battles, now. All seems to run very smoothly. Haven't encountered any raging lag.
