Crysis is coming to the PS3 and 360.

I've already got the PC maximum edition, but this has new nanosuit controls and "new effects".

White PS3 coming 1st November in Europe. 320GB, 2 controllers.

Wish they'd release white consoles at launch to give us a choice.

My dad would love that, it would go perfectly with his white PSP, and his white iPhone 4. Still, I'm going for the black 160GB model, my brother's already got 2 controllers but hasn't got a PS3 since it got nicked on the Easter holidays, probably sold to druggies. Either that, or I'll try to find a decent 60GB version so I won't have to have my PS2 on the desk any more.

My old 60 GB PS3s on its last legs I think. It overheats, runs fans at max on the XMB, has no wireless and generally takes long to load. I'd rather be able to replace and transfer stuff over before it goes and I end up losing all my save data etc. It's annoying that you can't do straight Hard Drive swaps without formatting it .

I rarely played any PS2 stuff on it anyway due due general lack of being able to get the old save data on it

so I'll be picking up a new one tomorrow. GAME and Gamestation have the 320Gb, Resistance 3 and Dead Island for £250, which seems decent to me, and I have all my rewards to cash in there.

It's a great game, still haven't played through all of it, or started Warhead, and I haven't even bothered getting 2 all because I simply have too many games to play.

So, after a 17 month absence from the PS3 (broken wireless), I'm back on a new model. Same ID as before, will go through and add guys I don't have

My PS3 is getting long in the tooth. I was going to replace it, might as well get this white one. Nice HDD, too.

I've been playing some Resistance 3. It's pretty good.

The removal of regenerating health means you have to be a lot more careful. TThe online doesn't have the scale of 2 though.

Might run through Uncharted 2 again closer to the release of 3

I'm stuck on what I actually want to get for the system. I know I want Final Fantasy XIII, and I was thinking of getting the first Uncharted (my brother has 2 so I'll borrow it when I want) and my brother's got a few games I could just play when I get the console like Killzone 2 and Motorstorm etc. but there's loads of games I want to try out and play.

Been looking at:
God of War Collection (and 3)
Ico Collection,
MGS4,
Little Big Planet (played through some of 2)
Ratchet & Clank games,
Valkyria Chronicles.

Can anyone recommend me any of these, or others?

I own Valkyria but yet to play it, but I got it because it was highly praised, so if you fancy a strategy RPG, it sounds like a great choice.

I also really enjoyed GTA4 and am playing through Episodes of Liberty City on and off atm.

MGS4 I enjoyed too, and most people would say to pick up Bioshock (not sure if you've played multiplat games on 360?).

I liked LBP but did find it was more fun in multiplayer online. Didn't dive into the create-a-level area though, which is a big part of the game too.

But haven't played the others really. I've had a lot of fun with some of the downloadable stuff though, like Pacman Championship DX - if you haven't played that before, GET IT. As well as Braid and Lara Croft & Guardian of Light.

Definitely get the first Uncharted, enjoy it, then be blown away by Uncharted 2.

The prices you can get these games at now means they are bargains. Ten quid for most of them.

Yeah, I should of mentioned I'm really looking for Platform exclusives, got both GTA4 (and episodes from liberty city) and Bioshock on PC.

Might take a look at Lara Croft Guardian of Light.

Yeah, the prices of most of the games are definitely bargains, and unlike Nintendo consoles, most of the exclusives do go down in price fairly quickly.

Oh yeah, are there any PSOne Downloadable games you'd recommend? I think I might get FF VII, but I'm not sure what the pricing is and stuff.

Sorry to mention a multiplat agin, but have you played Half Life 2 or Portal? I got The Orange Box on PS3 and fell in love with those games, so I'm waiting for Portal 2 to drop now. But I'm guessing you've already played them on PC/360.

Infamous, Heavy Rain, Demon's Souls, Gran Turismo 5 and Resistance are regarded as some of the best PS3 exclusives. Valkyria Chronicles is too, now that I've had a look online, so that looks like it could be worth your while. I'm gonna have to play this soon.

I can tell you that FFV to IX are up there for £7.99 each.

As for other PS1 games, depends what you've played before, but I would definitely recommend Crash Bandicoot 3 (£3.99). Thought it was one of the best platformers. Other big names up there include Abe's Oddysee (£3.99), Rayman (£3.99) and Tomb Raiders (£4.00+).

I'm guessing you don't have a PSP? The downside with PS1 games off PSN is that they're the European 50Hz versions. With custom firmware on PSP you can get any PS1 game you want in its original 60Hz form. Looks solid on the PSP screen too. But obviously if you've no other way, PS3 downloads is the way to go.

Might get V, VII, VIII, and IX then since I've got VI. Just get one at a time though since I'm still looking for a job, but I've decided on getting a PS3 with the money I'm getting for my Birthday on Wednesday since I have a choice.

Might get Crash Bandicoot 3 since I haven't played that either.

I'll just wait and see what I can afford. Loads of great games to choose from.

Nice! We'll have to hook up on Uncharted online. You make sure you get both Uncharteds done before you get U3 on November 4th.

Yeah, and having a look, I might get Bayonetta since I haven't got it, it's £6 in CEX, so that's not a bad price.

I'll tell you one game I enjoyed on PS3, that's Mirror's Edge. Literally £5. It's first person, but has very little shooting. You're a female free runner, speeding through buildings, over rooftops, climbing pipes, whilst escaping the police in a slick looking city. For five quid, it's really good.

I'm a Tomb Raider fan too, so I liked Underworld, but you can get the HD Collection of that, Anniversary and Legend now as well.

Burnout Paradise also took me by surprise. Sort of a mix between RPG and racing with all the missions you can do on the road. Very good online too.

Just some more options I'm throwing out there.

My brother has Mirrors Edge and I've played through a lot of that, it's an awesome game , got Burnout Paradise: The Ultimate Box on Steam for £3.70 on the Christmas sale, definitely a good game but I still have to get through it.

Is PSN down or something? Because it says the servers are up for maintenance every time I try to log in on my PC.

Tried the Prince of Persia Trilogy from the PS2/GameCube days? Could be worth a look at the HD Collection of that too.

Tomb Raider Trilogy's £7 on Amazon, and POP Trilogy's just over £11, so I might have a look.

I think I'll get Uncharted and FF XIII this week, and when I've finished and have a job, I'll look further into it.

£7 plus £4.99 shipping though... It's cheaper at under a tenner on The Hut (free shipping too).

Always hated Amazon for their sly postage pricing. It's only decent when postage is free on more expensive stuff.

Just realised Bleach: Soul Resurreccion comes out on Friday, probably will wait for the price to go down before I get it, but the game looks brilliant.

Oh yeah, just noticed that on Amazon as well, I might pop into CEX then when I want to buy games.

I'll be getting that White PS3 Slim in December or January, after I get a new Gainward Golden Sample next month.

I'll be happy to play Crysis again on either 360 or PS3, as long as it improves on a few things. I'm confident it will. I hope the original PC game gets an update/patch also.

Crysis 2 was way too fluffy, it lost the dark Predator atmoshere of the original and felt dumbed down. And It never had a Zero G level!. That Zero G level was so awesome on PC, it looked fucking incredible, so much so that it made my heart pound like crazy, the atmosphere it created stood out as special. The Icy jungle levels after were another mind-fuck.
