Yeah I get what your saying, like how I prefer playing Shanea on my gloriously HUGE DSiXL over my 3DS because of the larger screen, but if they make a sequal to Risky's revenge any bonus unlockables will need to be on the 3DS. Well it's good to hear they won't be THAT pricey but for titles that aren't DLable like Crisis Core FF 7 & KH:Birth by Sleep I'll need to pay for those again since I could NEVER DL them before & yeah it's not as pricey for what you get compaired to 3DS VC prices I guess.

Speaking of do you have a 3DS yet Azu? Let's exchange FCs if you've got on already.

I thought that was a Dreamcast at first glance. I assume it was the never-released collaborative effort between Ninty and Sony, which Sony went on to develop into the PlayStation as we know it.

To be honest, I prefer how it actually went. Imagine trying to play Tomb Raider with that pad. It was bad enough with the actual PlayStation pad!

I thought the same as Martin. The only small thing that goes against it is that the Sony-Nintendo collab console was called 'Play Station' with a space. After it didn't go through, Sony released it themselves but as 'PlayStation', no space. Supposedly. Console above has no space, so makes me wonder. Assuming that little story is true anyway. Think it's a bit odd there's no mention of Nintendo on the thing too.

If you look at the "Play Station" logo on the controller, it looks like there's a space there. Might just be the angle though.

Fair do's, it does. Original style PlayStation logo on the console though. Odd.

I wonder what the text "Super Disc System Cartridge" burned into the plastic of the console means... Did it require a cartridge to boot disc games ?

No Kafei, it was originally going to play SNES cartridges AND the then designed ps1 discs. Think of the original SEGA CD addon that let you play Genesis games & CD titles all in one system.

Man I remember when this was announced...I wonder who botched the contract? Rumor is that Sony wrote in a larger share of Nintendo than originally agreed upon, ticking of Nintendo & mqking them worry about a possible forced takeover from Sony against them.

I know that, but then why talk about a "disk system cartridge" ? The text itself doesn't make sense.

And besides, where's the cartridge slot at all ?

I had already seen the picture before (and others of what might be different prototypes, some of which were likely fakes), but only now does it bother me that much that the text on the system says that.

I reckon that part on the top lifts up or slides back (former more likely). Sort of like the flap on the NES.

It's hard to imagine what it would've been like had this deal gone through, maybe Sega would still be making consoles.

I've love to have seen what could have been. A Nintendo-Sony force is something a lot would dream about. To think it nearly happened. Would be interesting to see what we'd be playing today if it worked out.

Well before that would ever happen Sony needs to humble themselves.....ALOT & it goes without saying Nintendo would to. But atleast Nintendo has better people skills than SOny does.

Has anyone got Resonance of Fate? I was thinking of getting it, it has mixed reviews so I'd like to see someone who's brought the game's opinion.

Was tempted to get it ages ago but lack of time put me off. Supposed to be great if you're a hardcore RPG fan and can put up with hard bosses and grinding. But sadly that's sort of what put me off. I may get one day if I run out of games to play.

I've got it Stulaw (look up my psn id Nintendo_Gamer for trophy proof) & it's pretty good. Think of a mix of realtime turnbased gameplay.

Moving & actions take up the time you have to use per turn so as long as you don't move you've got time to think.

It's also REDICULOUSLY HARD but very rewarding. If you're a fan of Steam Punk Post Apocalyptic fantasies then this game's right up your alley!! The voice acting's great too!!

Has anyone else's local stores got a Vita demo unit yet? Both mine have, I had a go on one earlier.

Gotta say, that screen is mighty impressive, bloody huge! Not keen on how it makes the rest of the unit seem a tad too small, oddly enough. Those analog sticks feel very flimsy and hard to secure your thumb on; still better than the slide pad of old but not by much, and the primary buttons are definitely far too small. The D-Pad though is excellent, blows the PSP versions right out of the water.

Will most likely wait for a revision, or when Persona 4 gets released for it, either one.

Yeeeaahhh I'm not gonna buy Street Fighter X Tekken anytime soon...hopefully they'll port it to 3DS & we'll grt to see some "Falcon Paaauuuunch" in 3D!!

I can smell a PSVita Resident Evil game on the way.
