I actually can not wait for this game! The graphical style compells me so much more than no more heroes (to an extent). The game in retrospect looks completely mad, It looks like it employs the same mechanic as dead rising (360) where if you chop somrthing, it chops in the exact place you cut them. The variety of how to kill the goons look good and the bosses already have a metroid come No more heroes feel/look to them. I'm eager to lay my hands on this little title, and I definately will be picking up this game when it comes to the PAL territiories!
Sega are realling off the good games Madworld and Conduit, think theve found themselves a winning formula Smilie

Man i love this game. It is a perfect game for the Wii because the Wii is for EVERYONE and really needs games like this to strive. The only thing i hope is that this game get proper advertisements.

You know I am not really the type that enjoys something just because its gory, but I am really anticipating this! My one fear was that this game might be all style, but no gameplay. But apparently, IGN had some hands-on the game and its supposed to play very well. Definitely going to buy this.

To be truthfully honest, this is the only game that I'm looking foward to for the Wii this year. There may be other awesome games, but this is the one I absolutely HAVE to have.

The game looks absolutely awesome, but I have to wonder how long it'll be before the visuals get painfully old. If the gameplay is fun enough, though, it shouldn't matter. Hopefully.

    I want this game.

It just shows how art direction and style can win over high resolution and polygon pushing power, in my opinion.

Hmmm I was worried about that while watching Sin City, didn't seem start getting annoying. But of course that is quite a different boat considering that you'd be watching a movie for a much shorter period of time.

A game which has graphics which look like this have a timeless quality about them. It\'s the same with Cell shaded graphics also. The graphics will not age as they do with other games with colours and textures we have grown use to.

    EDIT:

They talk about whether people will actually get tired of them during playthroughs in one of the the above videos. They also discuss how they combat this with the muting of tones and effects.

I really cannot wait for this, I hope there are decent adverts for it. Sega need to advertise this like hell for it to sell well.

I think the partnership with SEGA is a very positive one. SEGA have made great strides in both the creation and promotion of software in recent years. I really believe this brief partnership deal will be very positive for both.

On a very brief sour note, I feel as though past games from Clover were let down by ill promotion from Capcom, which is terrible given the quality of those games.

Based on what SEGA's doing with both this and House of the Dead so far, I'm pretty certain that there'll be a fair bit of advertising support. SEGA definitely know they're on to a winner with their Wii support at the moment and are probably eager to continue on this front providing these titles (and The Conduit) do well. So buy them.

Madworld looks absolutely amazing and I'm looking forward to playing it very soon. Nice work on the first post Linky.

Thanks, I will be adding some awesome new Wallpapers very soon.

    For US peeps:

Konbanwa! My name is Jordan White, commonly on the internet as Sidepocket. I am a official freelance press photographer and article writer at GoNintendo.

As you may have heard, the SEGA booth is going to be huge this year at the NYC Comic Con. They are going to be showing off four huge exclusive games for the Wii there, including (the one I am most hyped for) MadWorld by Platinum Games Inc.

I am going to be attending the NYC Comic Con, and for most of the three days I will be doing reports on the SEGA Booth. If anyone is going to be there, reply here! Hit me up!

We can talk about the game there, if you want, I can record you playing the game and getting your reactions. Anyone who wants to help with the camera for my main game play segment is welcomed and will be credited. I will also be trying to get interviews from the various staff that will be around.

    See you there!

I would really love to go myself, I cannot think of a better place for the public to first get their hands on this game. As well as that I would just love Comic Con.

That is the date according to Wiki, Amazon UK and VGrelease.

It's a mature title so they don't need to release it on the conventional Friday to cater for kids. In fact it makes sense they would want to avoid that given this title and all that surrounds it.

It's going to hit on the Monday though, I know it will. I can see most retailers breaking free an selling it a day early.

I just hope people aren't getting excited about this game just because it is a gory game out for the Wii. My worry is that the game will turn out to be very linear. So fun for an hour then very boring.

I\'m excited about it because it looks like total random fun. I like the yellow crash, and bang!! comic book style writing that comes out, as well as the nice black and white styling of the game. It needs blood because it needs soething to contrast to black and white and make sense when you kill someone in such a fashion that blood comes out.

It just all looks good, and I liked No More Heroes, so I should really enjoy this Smilie
