Anyway looks really good - I think it's a good idea to up the realism. Me thinks someone wants Jade to be the new Lara Croft.

Looks more like Mirror's Edge, to me. Either way - that was just FMV. No gameplay footage.

It never was going to be for the Wii. In fact, did they not say as much to this effect when they announced it? I don't think anyone is still hoping (at this stage) to see it for Wii.

I'm starting to think it's impossible for Ubisoft to make a 3rd person game without lots of climbing.

Hmmm, well if it\'s BG&E2, I\'m not sure what to think. Since when was BG&E all about careening around town, scuffling your way up buildings? It does seem a bit much like Mirror\'s Edge/Assassin\'s Creed. We\'ll see. Might turn out to be Mirror\'s Edge 2, yet. I really can\'t tell in that video whether it\'s Jade or Faith. Given the \'gameplay\' displayed in that video, I\'m gonna stick my neck out and say it\'s a follow-up to Mirror\'s Edge.

Edit: However, saying that, the woman\'s outfit does seem to match Jade\'s from the BG&E2 teaser..

I guess it probably is BG&E2, going by that. I\'m unsure about the free running, it\'s sort of been done already. If they can bring something new to the \'genre\' (is it a genre of it\'s own?), then that\'s fine, but re-hashing Mirror\'s Edge/Assassin\'s Creed would not be a fitting follow-up to the sublime BG&E.

Definitely looks like Jade to me, and the graphical style is similar to that of the original teaser.

Plus Mirror's Edge was vivid and jaw dropping. I'd personally be a little disappointed if this was what DICE were thinking of next.

I thought Mirror's Edge was pants. Stale graphics, linear gameplay. I'd gotten bored of the concept by the time I'd finished the demo.

Everyone to their own then. These graphics would still be a disappointment to me after the first seemed to be headed in a unique direction.

It's not brown at all, it's just much more grim than Mirror's Edge.

Mirror's Edge was so bright at times that it hurt my eyes, I kinda liked that TBH.

I do like the look of this, having not played the original (please don't hate me ) I would love the game to turn out looking like it does there.

As for the mechanics of it, it does look like a mix between Assassins Creed and Mirror's Edge and if the developers can make that work then for me its a very big yes!

It looks alright, but I'm put off by the acrobatic moves she's doing throughout the trailer. It been done a lot recently with Assassins Creed and Mirrors Edge and it's starting to get stale, in my opinion.

I'm not liking the direction if this is in any way representative of the actual game. Not to say it doesn't look like it'd make a good game, just not the BG&E2 I want.

This is a sequel to the legendary rooftop chase from the first game.

This is 100% legit, what we're seeing there is definitely the BG&E team's understanding of movement, momentum and animation as seen in the first game. For example, in the first one, remember if you were running on one direction, then suddenly turned around the opposite way? Jade would adjust herself according to a careful understanding of mass (taking extra steps to slow herself down, then turn around and quickly speed up again). You're seeing that feel here too, pulling herself around corners, picking herself up when she lands after a jump.

I'm also pretty sure this is real time, but scripted to the same extent as the rooftop chase in the original game - you still have control of Jade, but you're being aided to varying extents by automation as the scene requires it.

As long as it\'s got you taking pictures, finding orbs, driving around in a crazy ship plus a bit of sneaking.
There was bits where you where running away from enimies in the first game if I remember correctly, as long as they don\'t use it as the sole gimmick for this game then it should be ok.

As for the whole brown thing in mirrors edge, any brown at all in a mirrors edge game would just be unatural, it would be like taking mario to fallouts wastelands or having cute teddy bears giving you cuddles in dead space.
The hyper clean look and bright whites and vibrant reds really made that game stand out and infact had a use aswell with making paths obvious to the user.

Never played the first one, but this one is looking good. It was a thrill ride to watch that trailer, and if the whole game is like that, then that's a damn good game.

It might just be a cool cut-scene?
