I want to think it MGS5 but knowing Kojima it all be a big set up for a joke

That teaser could either be the number 5 or maybe a block capitalized letter \"S\". The website has lighting and thunder and wind blowing noises as well as a countdown clock that ends in three days

The countdown just says S or 5 which could mean anything. Best to wait till E3 so we can avoid pointless guessing. This thread is VERY premature. Also after the cockeral tease that became Metal Gear Touch... well you know.

Let\'s just not go there right now until Kojima himself says something.

If you want me to add anything then well... you can vaguely see Snake (young with bandana) looking at you over his shoulder in between three trees.

This is surrounded by all sorts of rumours. The first thing to note is that Kojima's not working on MGS anymore is he? And MGS5 wouldn't be revealed this soon...

Other rumours include a special edition of MGS4, an MGS focused on Raiden (stormy skies, blades of grass, all kinds of Raiden-like imagery) but to me I think the most likely is a game that's popped up on recent release schedules called "Tornado Outbreak" from Konami... something like that...

He's finished with Solid Snake's story, If you read that interview I linked you'd know that Konami decides whether he's to make another Metal Gear or not.

My bad. I guess that\'s the negative point about talented directors having to work for a big developer; they don\'t get as much freedom as they\'d like.

It\'ll be interesting to see how Kojima interprets western ideas. Maybe he could finally crack that perfectly balanced game. The \"immersion\" of a western game with the \"charm\" of a Japanese game

EDIT: I\'m gonna say something really flammable now.

When I saw that screenshot on the second page, I thought \"Ah! Maybe I was wrong about MGS4, that\'s some pretty good colour contrast\"

It\'s an iPod Touch game. Nevermind.

EDIT2: I also love how confident he is that only his studio can successfully make a great MGS game. It\'s great, I wish more developers were that passionate about their franchises. One day I want to hear the head of Sonic Team say \"Only we can successfully make a great Sonic game\". Fat chance huh?

Kojima himself will not be working on MGS5 he did say he passing it onto the team

but who know maybe he got some new ideas he want to us never say never

I hope for Z.O.E 3 for some time now but i cant see it being this

Zone of the Enders most likely, i believe the 5 stands for the month the teaser was announced in.

He's been saying that since after MGS2, he always says he going to quit Metal Gear and let the young staff take over.

Metal Gear Touch actually does provide a good representation of MGS4 graphics. That said, being on that tiny screen hides a lot of the bad quality. PSP looks like turd when you play it through your TV.

Can't say I disagree with that. Still wish they would play full screen rather than in that tiny little box half the size of your TV.

As long as Kojima helps out his team like a good mentor should, I think it's a great idea. The thing is, Kojima still doesn't look that old himself! He acts as if he's about to retire or something.

What happened April 2007? And the countdown finishes on the day of Microsoft's E3 conference? Imagine that.

The source code reveals some "Metal Gear" tags, but they may just be there to fool people.

E3 starts on June 2nd. The conferences are before E3, and Microsoft\'s just so happens to be on June 1st, the same day the countdowns end.

EDIT: Yeah the source code is just to get hits from Google searches.

The simple font used for the 5/S is the same font they\'ve used for loads of Metal Gear trailers in the past.

I would like MGS5 but I think it\'s more likely a different franchise/spin-off.

Why more countdowns/teaser sites? It's so old and it really makes me lose interest.

Not really this time Kojima has a solid engine to work with. He has more staff and more creative freedom at his disposal and his team are more familiar with the hardware. It would be too soon if the game came out, but it's not too soon to be announced.

S for Shenmue III. OMG.

Kojima creating Shenmue would be the best thing since sliced throat. Day zero!!!

I read somewhere else that April 2007 is the month Raiden was introduced to the Metal Gear series or something,, ? Just loosely quoting here.

I read on another forum that April 2007 was the month Raiden met Rose (Rose is his girlfriend).

So it might have something to do with Raiden afterall. I guess we'll see if the date changes in the next countdown update. I assume the teaser will add a little more info each time a timer reaches 0.

Yes but Kojima put the same S (same font) on the MGS2 pre release videos.

I'm finding it to be quite a good thing just have to have on screen anyway. Would make a nice screensaver.

If it's an S it could be an extension of Project S, the Snatcher radio drama thing that he was supposed to be playing around with with Goichi Suda.
