well the next countdown just finished, 200 hours till the next, newest thing was a half noticle set of numbers in the background and a large 3 flashing

ZoE3 is highly possible by the looks

so far ive seen (they letters/numbers change each flash):
-5 (or S)
-E (uppercase)
-e (lowercase)
-3

anyone make anything more outta that?

Unless they are gradually spelling out the whole name (rather than the acronym - Z.O.E.), it can\'t really be Zone of the Enders.



Well, I\'ve had a think, and came up with one thing. Now this is a massive stretch, but it fits the teaser letters/numerals. Upon looking at the above post, I kept thinking of the word \'seed\', and thought at length at where it might be found in Kojima\'s back-catalogue. I couldn\'t find anything, but it just wouldn\'t go away.

Then I realised of course, the lead character of Snatcher is named Gillian Seed. Unfortunately, this doesn\'t explain the three. If I\'m right (I don\'t think I am, I think it just fits by coincidence), then one of the following must be true; 1) The \'3\' and the \'E\' are interchangeable, as seems to be the case with 5/S in this teaser. 2) The 3 refers to a third game in the style of Snatcher, though it would not be \'Snatcher 3\'.

Bit yeah, I think it just happens to fit. Would be cool, though! I\'d much rather see him do something different than go back and waste yet more of his time churning out another bloated, dreary, festering corpse of a game like MGS5, which could only add to the horrific downward spiral that the MGS series has experienced. I\'d even rather Z.O.E.3 than MGS5..

I hope not. If Kojima just wants to waste the rest of his career on the thoroughly flogged-horse that is the MGS series, then I no longer have any interest in his work.

Remember Martin Kojima still works for Konami, and if they want him to make another Metal Gear then he'll have to do it. After the awesome MGS4 I welcome a new Metal Gear.

Hmm, can\'t really deduce much from that, other than it isn\'t MGS. The character looks like a bit of a generic anime fag, but the game itself could be anything. I\'m predicting some sort of hack n\' slash game.



Not the case, I\'m afraid. He can do whatever he likes. As far as I\'m aware, working at Konami doesn\'t mean he\'s contractually-obliged to continue churning out MGS games. He does it through choice, though Konami undoubtedly lured him in the last couple of games with lots of money. Kojima\'s been saying since MGS2 that he wants to move on to something new and that he wouldn\'t return for future MGS games (which would account for the plummet in quality from MGS2 onwards), and then proceeded to direct the next two games in the series as well!

Either he\'s just been saying \"This is going to be my last MGS\" for the last decade in order to stir up some sort of publicity for each game (people love a good \'last hurrah\'), or he just can\'t resist a big wad of Benjamins. Either way, he\'s full of shit.

Big boss being the main character has peeked my interest, and the rumours that raiden is present could involve something to do with what happened to Raiden previous to MGS2, possibly about his time as a child soldier. i\'m all for the melodramatics with stealth gameplay, wonder if the next countdown will be the trailer.

Also from re reading the letters, they seem to spell out e3, PS3 so possible exclusive again

What a farce, all this lame countdown and it\'s contagious. Famitsu aren\'t giving proper information now too. I mean, I can\'t even tell what that excerpt says let alone what the actual game is, is it really MGS5?

Hell no. I'd say he'd be crazy to make MGS5 this soon after MGS4.

I think it'll be another Portable Ops like sequel/prequel/spinoff, or an MGS4 re-release.

its been a year since 4 came out, sounds about the time a new game teasered for a 2011 release

I want to see more of Splinter Cell Conviction because I'm standing between black and white with that one. It's not the original gameplay so I have to see what it has become after going back to the drawing board.

MGS5 is all I want after 4. Hopefully this will be a new story/saga. That Raiden looking guy with white hair and damaged eye looks awesome. Seems like Kojima is doing a Tetsuya Nomura on us (Roxas/Ven lookalike but not the same person). Can't wait for more info/trailer.
