Next nintendo system

hey guys leave posts telling what you think the next nintendo system should be like, or stuff it will have in it (like a mii channel and stuff)

I want it to play games

um...

I want it to be backwards ompatible with all Wii and GC games. It also, (and this is must) should allow you to transfer all your Virtual Console and Wiiware games over.

I want it to have better graphics than the Atari, but I don't think that's very likely.

i want it to have miis but it has better choices for hair and stuff and more body parts

How did I know HE'D do this...

As long as it has good games, a comfortable controller, and a relatively cheap price, I'll be fine.

Just make it HD this time and have the graphics and sound obviously better then PS2's then I will lay down top dollar.

(Wii + Gamecube + Atari + ...)
And have every game accessible!!!

And they're already attempting it with the Wii. I'd rather stick with emulators.

For me, there are alot of things Nintendo can improve on for the next system. For one, if they are trying to reach the casual audience, then why don't they allow their next system to play DVD's as well as HD? Those two options are becoming more and more casual by the day.

Of course, graphics would be a thing to improve on, though I must admit the Wii looks great. I think they should put in an online network like Xbox and PS3 (I think PS3 has one) with a username and all that good stuff which brings about an important question.

Would it be reasonable to ask if (hopefully when) Nintendo decides to go full fledged online mode, would you be willing to pay on the next system?

Atari is a SEPERATE COMPANY FROM NINTENDO.

From the way things are going, Namco Bandai will eventually own the rights to Atari, and I highly doubt Nintendo will be buying them out considering how huge Bandai are, and how much Namco LOVE Sony.

If I could get one thing from the next system, please, please, please let it have a good Online system, like screenames and all. I mean come on, we're this far in the future and Nintendo is still in the dark ages. Why can't I get on my Wii, see that one of my friends is playing Brawl, and send him a message asking to play, with voice chat mic and everything? It's just ridiculous.

Teetrab I would never in a million queers pay for Nintendo's online service. It would be so far behind and if there's still friend codes, or game linked friend codes instead of it being unified to the system I will decimate that motherfucker of a console.

@ Superlink & Captian, Atari suck anus, I can't think of one good game they've made in the last...well ever, they are the suck.

Oh yeah. I thought that was implied when I said "full fledged online mode". I meant the whole shebang- Fast connections, removal of friend codes (codes are bull), better streaming content and more reliable service. Xbox Live has little to no lag in my experience.

I agree with you I wouldn't pay for Nintendo's online service either in its current condition. It sucks

Personally I can't stand many consoles/games with under 16-bits anymore.

The next console should have...

1. Better Online. This is a must. Get rid of friend codes and have an auto-friend thing in all games. Also, have some sort of ranking system and better voice chat. I think the whole WiiConnect24 thing never really got explored to its potential. Auto-updates and online match invites (while your playing offline) would be great as well.

2. HD Graphics, better than PS3's. I think Nintendo just needs a huge graphical leap so that if their next system launches years before the other companies, then they will already be on par with graphics.

3. New Controller. The next system needs to have another great controller, probably like the Wii Mote with the Motionplus accuracy. It also needs to have a standard controller for regular games

4. 3rd Party Support. I think if Nintendo does all the things mentioned above, 3rd parties will jump to Nintendo platforms again.

"Ranking System" sounds a lot like "High Score Table". And "High Score Table" roughly translates to "Let's See Who Doesn't Have A Life". You don't need a table to tell you that you're better than some other d00d.

And I'll be fine if they keep the backwards compatibility. Heck, maybe a little more communication with the portables would be nice too.

An achievement system would be good. It must be the only console without it, heck! even the PC has it with Steam!

Not to sound like a broken record in this thread, but please do away with Friend Codes. Nintendo is only hurting themselves by keeping that in.

That, and a DVD player. That would be a dream. BluRay? Anyone? Anyone?

Realistically Nintendo should continue what it aimed to do with Wii. If they now try and compete with Microsoft and Sony then they will lose badly, they carved a niche and should enjoy nestling in it.

To begin with Wii+ (copyright HazukiSan2009) should really be a continuation of Wii. If they can make that thing any smaller then do it. HD output is an absolute must for them with 3d gaming less so. A slight graphical boost would be nice but not really necessary, motion plus integrated into a new wiimote is again a necessity. Expanded digital delivery again would be nice but given the low uptake of Wii's online structure I doubt it'd be used.

That's really it, if anyone thinks Nintendo will come out with some mind blowing new console is a bit naive. Wii will follow the DS mould of iterating on a concept a few times before shifting to a new thought, after all beyond this where can they go that Natal and the PS3 doesn't? What WILL be important is the game Nintendo chooses to headline and if that can be as iconic as Wii Sports. They nail that then they've got sales, they don't and they have a gimmick console without a game to show off the gimmick.
