I just don\'t like to see you banging the old \"colours!\" drum constantly. It ruins you, SuperLink. It ruins you. You\'re too good to be ruined by stupid things. Open your mind to other styles, man, for god sake!
I was ruined the moment I turned on the MegaDrive for the first time!
Besides, the colours drum is far more pretty than all the brown drums they make these days.
Cartoon is a style, cel shading is a style, painting is a style, noir is a style, but \"boring\" is not. One game I can think of that uses colours like brown in a nice way is the upcoming Saboteur.
If we are to be completely unbiased on this matter, then we must agree that neither primary-coloured nor more realistic approaches are \'superior\'. It\'s just whatever fits the game best.
What needs to be understood by games developers is that \"real life\" has colour too. Yeah, it depends on the game, but I don\'t think the entire palette being tints of brown suits
anything.
I\'d agree with the racing games, but you\'re completely out of your mind if you think Uncharted looks realistic. It looks like an idyllic painting, and the people look like comic book characters or something
What type of games (other than racing and perhaps sports games) would you consider realistic
EDIT: Really, after watching that trailer again I don\'t see what\'s so very Zelda about it? The biggest Zelda rip off would be the boomerang, but other than that it just looks about as \"NES Adventure game parody\" as any game could be.
