I second the disappointment that was no Green Yosh, and the fact he couldn\'t swim =/
But I really do love Sunshine. The levels were very interesting places, and managed to be fun despite the world being always sunny. It was a shame we didn\'t get ice, desert or fire levels but the game managed to be fun that it didn\'t matter too much.
The graphics really showed what the GameCube could do too. The water effects had to be good because of how much the game focused on using water, but they weren\'t just good, they were brilliant and beautiful. I loved the paint too, and how it would stick to Mario, and how you could wash it off in the water.
All these neat little touches showed what a capable little machine the GC was. Certain textures on the land did look very N64-like unfortunately, but for the most part, Sunshine had some of the best graphics on the GC.
It was a very challenging game too. Loved the Mario Bros-like bonus levels. Getting to the end without falling off was a real thrill on some of the later stages. The difficulty was something to be admired in the game.
Sadly, I disliked the end boss battle as it was way too easy, and the reward for getting all the shines was dire. The blue coins were hidden in some truly unbelievable places too, leading me to believe the only way to get them all was by using a guide (but this of course added to the challenge in a different way).
Overall, SMS was a solid sequel to Mario 64, and a fantastic game in its own right.
