After playing for a while, an error message pops up saying an error has occured and that I need to turn off the 3DS. It's a Nintendo message but I'm not sure if it's a problem with the game, or the 3DS. It's happened 3 times now.

theres been a couple of other places I've read this. Might be worth getting a replacement if it keeps happening. Amazon will send out the new one and you have a month to send the old one back so you're not without one. Might be worth getting a picture as proof of fault as well, as if they find nothing wrong they might charge you.

Ta! I'll give it a week to see if Nintendo update it.Smilie

Might trade in Rayman and get Street Fighter. Not a big fan but it seems to be the most polished title and it seems to be the only online-enabled launch title.

I'm gonna play Rayman first and try to summon the black screen to get a picture of first. Smilie

I'm going to go in and get street fighter today, everyone seems to be playing it and I'd like a dose of online action Smilie I don't want to get Nintendogs because I've played that to death already before. Smilie

A little something relevant to the thread, and for those of us waiting to see what a YuGiOh game on the 3DS could be like;

The 2011 edition, Over the Nexus, is DS-bound in about a months time, so 2012 is most likely the 3DS one, set for around this time next year. Or Konami might start sooner with a spin-off like they did with Nightmare Troubadour. Either way, we're in for a bit of a wait. Smilie

I don't care, as long is it comes out with AR compatibility. I just want to say "HOLY RAH!REAL MONSTERS! who would put the effort into making a children's card game real?" "Because I have far too much money!!!"

Staff Member

Konami will most likely include a few special cards in place of the ones they usually do, that act the same way as Nintendo's AR ones. I couldn't even begin to contemplate how long it would take to 3D-ify those thousands of monsters.

I don't care! Make it Happen! I just want to see trap cards flip over and the like Smilie I don't usually play YuGiOh, but if I can do that cool shit I'll be all over it like butter on bread that's landed butter-side down.

Anyone else noticed that a while ago, many people were complaining about the fact that 3DS games were going to be more expensive than DS games? Well, looking around now I see many 3DS games retailing for pretty much the same price as DS games, at least at retailers that don't overprice everything. I got my copy of SSFIV 3D for the same price as Okamiden, and that was the launch day price for both. Smilie

Fun fact here though, the games with the least amount of effort and polish are the ones that seem to cost the most. Smilie

ps not 18+ but still

Not to sound perverted, but they are actually really great. The 3D works amazingly well on some of them, especially the one where she is blowing bubbles.

I've heard others say the exact same elsewhere, haha.

What's all that stuff about in that archive anyways? I'd like to know before I maybe download it. Smilie

So I just got SSFIV3D and played it for about an hour, I actually prefer it quite a bit more than the xbox version. I'm guessing this is down to the fact that I can do the ultra combo's when I want to, I can do all the other moves via button combos no problem, it was just the ultra's I used to have trouble with and in the end I would get frustrated and get cramped hands >.<.

Online works a lot better than it did on the xbox too.

The final secret world of Monkey Ball 3D is almost as hard as the second world of Monkey Ball 1.

Almost. Jesus, that game just sounds like bouncing a rubber ball round a bare room. It will eventually come back and hit you.

That sounds infinitely more painful than anything in this game.

Unless a game can be so easy it's painful.
Also Monkey Race is now a terrible Mario Kart rip off.

Is it even easier than Kirby's Epic Yarn where you can't even die? Smilie

Just had my first instance of the black screen and error message. Hope its a one time thing/quick fix. Happened whilst starting the 6th mission of Ghost Recon.

I took a photo of it, if it persists and isn't fixed in a week or so, or starts happening more frequently, I'll get on to Amazon for a replacement

How do you take pictures in FaceRaiders?

You can press the L or R button to take a snapshot, during gameplay. It will come up a notification afterwards to ask you if you want to save it (you can only take one photo).
