3DS Discussion Thread

I hope it's fake. =( The colouring seems a bit off compared to that Zelda sign which isn't fuzzy at all.

Don't worry, that one's fanmade. Certainly a good way to get rumours about a possible Zelda Anniversary 3DS going though.

Nintendo showed off at E3 last year the NES first Zelda with its original graphics but a 3D effect applied (as part of their "classics" brand). I can see them using that as an eShop release for zelda's 25th birthday, pretty much like how they made a Super Mario Bros with the question mark blocks bearing a 25 mark on them instead.

At any rate, they didn't do anything big for their biggest franchise 25th birthday (that's Mario) in terms of software. So I don't see them doing anything über awesome for Zelda either. But limited edition consoles, I can see that happening though.

I think you've missed them. =P But I'm not entirely sure though.

I'm sure I read that they would be releasing these costumes twice through download.

Either way, I think it's a pretty silly thing because late buyers like myself will miss out on them all. Unless it's a ploy at the moment to get people buying the game, then eventually we'll be able to get them again.

You should order your stuff from shopto Mush. It's one of the best sites to order from imo. Azuardo is right about the costumes though. You'll be able to get a hold of the same ones twice, although I'm not sure when.

Yeah Mush you should use shopto.net instead, they always send it a day early before it's released.

I third ShopTo as well. Got my FF13 day before release. Likely will go to them again for FF13-2 and Uncharted 3.

I honestly think it's just the Royal Mail around my area. Amazon told me it was sent out via. Royal Mail on the Thursday and that it should've gotten to me on Friday or Saturday. (Which it didn't)

Either way, I've just been down to GAME and picked up a copy for myself. Amazon told me they'd give me a full refund, even if I don't recieve the product to return to them.

Is anyone here getting RE: Mercenaries 3D in a bit over a month? I'm kinda undecided still especially since I have no clue about anything RE related but online coop with some of you guys would be pretty sweet I suppose.

I probably am. I'm only worried that the game won't last very long.

I've been playing DoA for a couple of hours and I'm really enjoying it so far.

Beat the Throwdown Challenge and got today's costume.

Okay, haven't got a reply from jb in his review of the game yet, so can anyone answer some questions I have bout the game?

Does online just consist of matching you up with someone for a 2-round fight or something? Or is there more variety in that department, i.e. tournaments with more than 2 players? Any online leaderboards for the arcade, survival, etc? Can you set rules at all? Is it easy to add strangers you meet as friends? Any communication available (text, voice)?

Can you use the circle pad instead of the d-pad (not that I would want to)?

And, is Tag mode as messed up as he says it is? Can't freely switch to your secondary character - it's controlled by the CPU? If so, wtf?

Yep online only consists of 2 round or 3 round fights, you get to pick which you want or there's an option to randomly play people from either category. The only variety is that you get to pick whether you want to play people from the same region or all around the world. That's it; there's no tournament mode, no leaderboards, it's only 2 player, there's no way to communicate with the person you're playing against and you can't add them as rivals or friends. =/

Yes you can use the Circle Pad, even though I prefer using the D-pad expect when doing Ryu's Izuna Drop. XD

And yes the Tag Mode is terrible, you can only switch when it says 'ok' next to there health bar and your partner is cpu controlled. (-_-#) I don't know what they where thinking when when the made that decision. >_<

Man, my thumb hurts, been trying to learn combo's and moves. Got the Izuna drop down now though I swear you can't do some of the combo's that where in previous games, as Ryu you could be in the air as well as your opponent and keep attacking...

Well you can kinda if you press: down+L, Forward+L, X, X, A. It's similar to Sasuke's lion combo.

Edit: Found a slightly more easier way of inzuna dropping of a counter. For whatever reason, if you counter with the touch screen, keep pressing it and it will do it automatically for you.

Thanks for the detailed description, L. Such a disappointment. Will still likely pick it up in the long run as a fan of DOA though. I imagine a new console DOA will have the online sorted and tag mode fixed. Here's hoping.

That and my timing always seems to be way off for them that I try so much that I forget about my offence and my health just dissapears.

Yeah I have the same problem, I can't tell what's a high attack or a mid attack. They both look the same. >_<
