What are you Playing? October 2010

It's that time of year again...another new month. So, what are you/will you be playing this month?

I've just started to get into Kameo, heard a lot of good things about it, but it didn't appeal to me when I first played it. Now i'm playing it again I kinda like it.

I'll most likely be getting Sonic 4 when it comes out in a couple of weeks

Fable 3's out this month, but due to it coming out on the 29th, I'll most likely be playing it through November

Finished Minerva's Den last night which was really good.

Playing Planescape Torment which was just re-released by GOG.com.

Also achievement whoring the fantastic Shadowrun and the stupendous EDF.

I can see myself buying Vanquish, possibly. I'm not very good at stomaching new console game prices these days.

Will probably play some Minecraft since multiplayer should become more functional this month.

Just today finished all stories on Sonic Adventure (downloaded on PS3). Not sure how many more emblems I'll try to get on it yet though.

Will probably try and beat Vagrant Story. Have it on my PSP now. I want to try and beat a few old PS1 games I never beat as a kid.

Final Fantasy IV DS was another I'd recently come back to playing after a long break from it. Need to finish that.

I have a massive back catalogue of games to get through, or have started and then forgot about, so I really need to work my way through them all.

Sonic 4 will definitely be getting bought when it launches.

Been playing Tatsunoko vs Capcom a lot.

Started to play more of Okami. I love Ammy soo much. And Issun is just as good. The controls are some what irritating when you have to help Susano hit the bear off the ball. But it has some awesome graphics for a cell shaded Wii game. Also going back to play games I have not yet gotten very far in, like MadWorld.

Pokémon Black Version

I imagine Uni will seriously cut into my gaming and internet time as I'm going to try and not kill my social life before it's started. Handheld games will pretty much take up the majority of my gaming time.

Mass Effect

Almost done. Loving it -- may be my favorite game for the 360. I'll be buying 2 as soon as the credits roll.

Halo Reach

Really really liked the campaign, which shocked me because I find Halo campaigns in general to be the epitome of boredom. Reach feels fantastically polished. And I haven't even really started with the multiplayer yet.

I finished Limbo last month as well. I mention it because as far as I know, no one else here has played it. Fix that now gentlemen.

Been playing through the original Metal Gear Solid which I have on my PS3. I actually forgot how stupid the guards are, so I tend to get caught on purpose because the alert theme is awesome

I have heard that the PS3 version is really glitchy and with a few bugs. But it does not look any different to the GameCube version of the remake.

Still playing Halo Reach, I need to get to the General status.

Believe it or not, I just started playing Kingdom Hearts II again. I'm at Olympus ATM. I just can't seem to stop. XD

That is very scary because I have just started a few days ago as well and I am at the exact same place as you. But are you in the underworld or just Olympus? Man that is a very scary coincidence.

I will take your note on board about playing Limbo. I have heard some really great things about it. I might download the demo before I actually buy it though. But if I do like it I will purchase it. Very rare I buy an arcade game from XBLA, because of the D-pad.

Astra Superstars (Sega Saturn)

I would have got Limbo the day it came out, if they released it on PSN.

I'm currently playing through Junior Brain Training 2 (for a C3 review) and Super Paper Mario. Super Paper Mario is really great. The text is humorous and I absolutely love the switching between 2D and 3D.

Halo Reach.

Multiplayer is really great as ever, forge is also lots of fun.

But...Jacob....WHAT. The campaign in Reach is just.....so poor compared to the other Halos. They tried to concentrate on the characters which is admirable but frankly they failed in my eyes. Halo has always been about the universe, and Reach didn't have many epic defining moments that I could list from the other games. Plus there was virtually no story development. We found out a couple of new things at the end but nothing to really get too excited about.

Chrono Trigger on DS, and Crisis Core (and soon KH: BBS) on PSP.
