Holy crap, this is awesome. I know this is a game site and this is totally random but I'm just so excited!!!!

This seems like as good a place as any to talk about the game.

Maybe it's because I'm a Brit, but it just seemed like a lamer version of Rugby. There are so many stops in play, it gets annoying. The first 15 minute quarter took nearly 45 minutes to play out.

Aaaand Black Eyed Peas just ruined the entire thing...

Seriously, the only time they've sounded a little good is when they're using autotune which is 90% of the time. Lame!

Slash was a total shock though!

But, being a native Texan, it was really cool to have all the hype leading up to the Super Bowl, the game being played in North Texas for the first time ever. Although there were a couple snags at Jerry World, I'd say all in all it was a good game.

That stadium is just so freakin' cool.

Yeah I had my first Super Bowl experience in the US. Was pretty fun. Definitely a massively commercial experience. Wasn't a fan of the constant pausing. And my girlfriend is a huge Steelers fan (forced me to wear a jersey) and got pretty upset when they lost. Still, all part of the experience. Haha.

Doesn't one game come to London every year? Or did that idea not generate the buzz they expected...

No, they still have a game a year in London. I love American football, but couldn't stay up last night to watch it all for I had work in the morning. I normally watch it every year. It's definitely been turned into a massive commercial sport, and it looks ugly because of it, yet it's one of the most tactical out there and I would have loved the chance to play the sport myself during my school years.

Just watched the half time show on YouTube...it seems as if the Black Eyed Peas just shouted their way through the entire performance. They really don't work live. Also, the 'V' on the stage didn't light up.

I thought that i was the only one that hated their performance, or atleast I felt like i was the only one. Those dancers they had surrounding them tricked me into thinking there was a crowd of people enjoying all that gibberish and noise.

Ok, I'm fucking pissed off. Green Bay did beat Pittsburgh, but the Steelers beat themselves too. 3 fricken turnovers....I really don't have much else to say about the game itself...

Now, on to the commercialization aspect. I hate it. When there's a game between the NFL's two most respected franchises, I expect to watch the Super Bowl for the football. The ads are always way too over the top. There's hundreds of millions of people watching, yet they want to force beer and women commercials down our throats. Christina Aguilera butchered the National Anthem. Absolutely embarrassing and disrespectful. The Black Eyed Peas performance was horrendous. Ugh, I also can't stand Super Bowl parties. I was invited to one, but I declined, and later I made the right choice. The next day on facebook, I see the people rejoicing on how awesome of a night it was.....these guys go to the University of Pittsburgh, and most of them are Steeler "fans".

I would like to congratulate the Packers though. They're one team I have tons of respect for. They deserved it.

I thought those dancers were pretty cool, partly because I knew some of them. Those were dance groups from local schools in the area, and as an attendant of one of those schools, it was cool knowing that people who you went to school with were on the biggest commercial stage in the world.
