Working as a marketing professional i would have to agree with Pach here, Nintendo have not made the Wii U clear to the core purchaser (the parent) , lack of awareness and how the system functions.

I don't doubt Nintendo for what they are doing, they know exactly what they are doing and they are hoping for word of mouth and to drip the product out, The PR agency behind the Wii U adverts in the UK should be ashamed of themselves....its just shit!

I think Pach is right, Nintendo were hoping that people would just flock for the system, furthermore no artificial demand is being created due to excessive supply.

Nintendo are just waiting to release their main IP's and blow us all away!

For anyone looking to get a USB Hard Drive, I wholeheartedly recommend one of the black Vertabim ones; a 320gig one is around £40 (probably cheaper in the sales now) and it fits so well with the black WiiU's esthetics. Smilie

Make sure you get a Y Cable that uses a Mini USB to 2 USB ports off Amazon for a few quid as well though, one USB port isn't enough to power it.

Does anyone know any streaming sites that work on the Wii U pad? I have been using it to catch up with Naruto on Narutoget.com but i was wondering if any of you know of any other streaming sites that work on the Browser.

Also i was wondering how you switch the gamepad to sleep if you are using the TV to watch something...thats if you can?

A lot of streaming sites should work, since most .flv videos are encoded in MP4, which the Wii U can play absolutely fine. If I were you, I'd just look around for places until you find one that works. (Which may not take too long.)

I think it's impossible to turn off the Upad in the browser... unless you can maybe browse using the Wiimote. As soon as you hit the Home button, the browser is shut down.

He says that about everything, to be fair. I wonder if Nintendo would want to invest the time and/or money in porting Bayo1 over, it's a smart move.. but I get the feeling that SEGA doesn't like the WiiU very much.

Speaking of Sega and WiiU, does anyone know whether the special edition of Aliens Colonial Marines will be available on Wii U on Feb12th like the normal one or not? I want to preorder but all the online retailers I checked have the special pack only for PC and PS360.

EDIT: Ah nevermind, Zavvi has that version ^^. Never ordered from them before. 52.19€ was a fair price ^^.

Zavvi has some pretty sweet deals now and then. I got Monster Hunter 3 incl. Classic Controller Pro from them, for something like €50, which was cheaper than the normal version in Dutch stores!

Has anyone been playing the ZombiU demo? I spent almost 2 hours with it, had to beat it in two tries.
It has atmosphere, but the controls are so annoying...

Didn't try the demo, but spent over 60 hours on the full game already. By now I don't have any issue with the controls anymore, I even find them quite intuitive.

Well of course it'd be rumoured.. even if that ONM exclusive sounds promising, I'm still half-expecting Capcom to say "WiiU version isn't happening" once the 360 and PS3 versions are out.

Rudy! :p You're the only other person who plays Nano Assault Neo a lot. I see you have some quite good scores. I've been a bit addicted to it in the past week, trying to get decent scores for all the levels. I keep going back to Survival Mode... I once got to the 7th level or so, but no such luck since.

I'm not much of a great player myself, the score I got in survival, I could never get close to it again afterwards... Sometimes I'm just lucky. I tried it again today, but couldn't get into it that much, I wasn't in the mood.

I've been more into Assassin's Creed III lately. I'm nearly done with it, then I can move onto Darksiders II, which arrived in the post today.

SPEAKING OF WHICH!!! Has anyone else on here ever ordered from GAME?? Is that normal that my copy of Darksiders II didn't come with the Nintendo Stars card??? The game wasn't in an official Nintendo blister either (those usually bear the red Nintendo logo on it, so I suspect these guys at GAME keep the stars for themselves and pack them back inside other blisters). Can anyone confirm?

I asked around and someone said Darksiders II doesn't come with Club Nintendo stars. Most third party games don't.

This is correct. From personal experience, I can say that neither Darksiders II or Tekken come with CN Stars. Black Ops 2 does though... which I found quite odd.

I was under the impression that, in this generation of consoles, all games would come with Nintendo stars... All of my 3DS games did anyway, even third party games.

On Wii U, ZombiU and Assassin's Creed III definitely did (I got the stars for AC3 from the friend who lent it to me). It's weird that some games don't have them :/...

I'm pretty sure there's a thing with Club Nintendo in Europe nowadays where all third party games on 3DS get stars included with them. Prior to that, only Nintendo developed and Nintendo published games would get stars. On the Wii U though, I'm not sure what's going on. Some 3rd party games get them, some don't. Just seems weird.
