The Last Story

I think my last year at school starts on September 12th, so I really hope that August 26th is true. Would give me about two weeks to play the hell out of the game before school starts.

Stickied this now, since it is indeed coming out next month. Copied Sherwinator's post from his thread to the first one of this, since there's no need for two threads on the same topic and would be a shame to lose previous discussion here.

Working on my preview for the game and will have it up within the next couple of weeks, most likely. Don't want to go too in-depth in it, since we'll have a review of it not long after the preview anyway. So just a teaser preview, if you like, to get you pumped for the release ;]

Az, can a Mod add a poll to an already existing topic? If so, it would be great if you could add a poll similar to the one we had in the Xenoblade thread. Would be interesting to see how many people are excited for it.

Is it coming out to ALL retailers? I'm not keen for GAME to have the monopoly and only stock the special edition!!

I would think so. Haven't heard anything at all about GAME or anyone else getting exclusive rights to this. I'm sure it would have been announced by now.

Wow, that's pretty disgusting. The FFXIII-2 Crystal Edition I've ordered for £80 contains a shitload more stuff than that one, including a full 4-disc OST. Whether they'll release an RRP or not, surely some common sense would prevail there? Nearly £90 for that is a joke.

Zavvi must be trollin' with that price. Unless its price is very close to the normal game, I won't be getting it. I've seen much better Limited Editions than this one and I'm no collector either, so all that stuff is pretty useless to me. Instead, I generally prefer stuff I can actually use, like the red CC Pro that came with Xenoblade. Posters are fine with me too though, given that they come in a decent size and aren't already full of wrinkles when they arrive.

I finally got to pre-order the limited edition from amazon -below £40. Im not sure if it was a pricing error, but I hope they honour it! Cant wait.

I'm also playing Zelda and its taking me a while to get into it. I've probably done 6 hours.

It's £44.99 now, It's not a bad price, but under £40 would've been brilliant.

EDIT: Yay for me getting my hopes up too quickly. I've seen conflicting reports now and apparently they are not in there, according to some who already have a retail copy. Big shame, but I guess that's just how it is. Won't stop me from enjoying a great game and it at least doesn't sound as horrible as Xenoblade.

I've also already seen a few reviews and they're all in the 80-90% range. Can't fucking wait!

Who else is picking it up at launch?

Just a warning guys, if you pre-ordered the Limited Edition from Games online website they will no longer honor the pre-order.

Seems they are not stocking the limited edition at all.

Your order will be automatically cancelled although in some cases they switched the game to the standard edition so you may want to check if you have ordered through them.

7.5 Graphics
For the Wii, it’s super, but obviously it doesn’t compare that favourably to its peers on other platforms.

Ha ha ha, it's so strange when someone does that.

Better make sure to cap 3DS games graphics at a 7.1, also make sure 360/PS3 games graphics can't go above 8.4 as they will never compete with high end PC graphics.

Not sure what the point is in letting us know your 3DS friend code (judging by the amount of digis) for a Wii game, especially since the wii system code itself will most likely not be used for this game (and since the game isn't near being released in the US I don't see how you would already have a friend code for that game specifically).

Anyway... Just dropped by this topic to say I'm hoping to get my limited edition tomorrow .

Wow, so is everybody except me getting the Limited Edition then? Damn, you guys make me feel like a cheapskate. Seriously though, I just didn't find the extra stuff worth the higher price. I can't wait to play the game though. However, I'm a bit worried about the British dubs. I watched a few trailers and the voice acting I heard in there made me cringe more than once. There are definitely worse dubs out there, but something about them just instantly takes that sense of immersion away from me. Maybe that's just me...
