I sometimes wonder if things would be different for Liverpool had they won the title a few seasons back. Were top for so long and then folded and ended up second to United.

I keep being shocked every time I hear 'Telli's only 21, too. Back when he was at Inter and they were going on about Mourinho not being able to handle him with him kicking off and that, I thought he was in his twenties then. He must have only been 18, 19. He's an amazing talent, and pure entertainment. It's players like him that make people actually want to watch football. People would pay just to see him.

We all gonna be supporting Team GB? Bit surprised there's not even one Scot or Norn Irish player, but being Welsh and partly English I'm definitely gonna be rooting for 'em. I hope Ramsey and Bale make the cut.

...that was ugly.

The last two goals were very unsportsmanlike. They knew Italy was down a man, yet they kept pushing. Even in extra time. I believe it was Sergio Ramos who wanted to get that fancy goal between his legs. At a certain point is was getting way too much. Italy were already crushed, what's the point of beating a dead horse?

On the contrary, lesser teams or teams that lose a man prefer that their opposition give it their all to show respect. If Man United put out a team of unknowns against a team bottom of the league, it's showing disrespect to the opposition. Likewise, if Spain didn't play their game against Italy whether they had 10 men or 9 men, they'd be showing disrespect. I understand where you're coming from, but even though it resulted in a bigger scoreline against Italy, it was the right thing.

At the end of the day, Spain played their game when it mattered most. By their standards they played average through the tournament, but turned it up for the final. If Italy hadn't lost a player, who knows if they could have made more of a game in the second half? But Spain deserved it based on that performance.

Glad Torres scored. Just wish he had more game time.
