Less than 3 weeks till launch, so probably a good time for a dedicated topic. The one game I've been waiting all year for is almost here. Who else is getting this next month?

First review has come out too:

Playmania (Spanish magazine): 9.9/10

The highest score they've given any game. They gave Uncharted 2 a 9.5.


Don't read the full thing though because they apparently spoiled the ending, causing Naughty Dog to speak on Twitter asking reviewers not to spoil the game.

So, I know LKR000's all over this and on the multiplayer right now. Who else is getting it? Would be great to get some 3 player co-op going! Think I've got most people from here online, but my PSN ID is just Azuardo, so please add!

Playing through Uncharted 2 at the mo as preparation for this eventually, looking forward to it.

There's online co-op? Sweet! Are they just like 'defend the fort' missions and the like? Def do that next time we're online at the same time, hope I don't need a headset or keyboard.

Edit: Oh right, yeah it's pretty good. I'd say this and the first game are of the same level of quality, this one feels a bit more grand-scale at times though (the opening was epic!).

Mmhmm, I didn't even discover the multiplayer stuff till well after beating the game. And once I did, hell, I was hooked. Boosted the game's replay value and quality for me massively.

Co-op missions are little story missions you can do as 2 or 3 players online. Three to choose from, with different levels of difficulty. Really fun stuff.

Would be handier to have a headset to communicate faster, but otherwise it's not a massive problem. In between matches you can use the messaging system to let me know which level or difficulty to play on.

I haven't played it in months but I'd love to play a little again just before U3 comes out. If you're on at any point today that would be good.

Uncharted 2 was amazing game, not a fan of the multiplayer, but single player kept me hooked. UC3 looks good.

I was late to use my welcome back plus sub, so I got the Beta for 3 as well. I'll be getting the game, just not sure when. I'll have Batman this week, and with the new job I don't play as much anymore.

ShopTo took my cash from my preorder yesterday too. Less than a week! With any luck, it might even arrive on the 1st.

A couple of minor omissions I've read from people who have the game:

1) no replaying cutscenes

2) no cheats/skins/filters/modes. Some of these made great replay value(Mirror World, with Donut Drake, in fast motion)

That's a tad disappointing. I did enjoy the instant kill cheats etc when I fancied blitzing through the game. And of course replaying cutscenes is something that should be an option in many games, but I guess the idea is to make you play it rather than watch it as a movie. Bit of a shame, but so long as the main game is fantastic, I certainly won't care.

Sorry bro, Uncharted multiplayer kinda sucks with the weird lag/hit-detection. Thus, me and folks of my ilk are waiting for the game to be pre-owned and disgustingly cheap before we buy.

I'm actually more interested in the co-op missions than the deathmatches right now. Would be great to team up with a couple from here and blitz through them.

Just beat the single player.

Yeah perhaps we can do some co op missions tommorow. It also makes it much easier now that we have a chat box on C3 so if were both in their we can sort a game out

Definitely mate. I'll likely be on all night tomorrow, if I don't go out, and probably all day Sat and Sun.

So yeah, deff can use the chat to sort it out.

Oh and Martin, be warned if you do buy it pre-owned - this game is one of those that uses an online pass. So if you do decide to give online a go, you'll have to get a new copy or purchase a code when you go to the online mode in the game.

Wow! I'm surprised this thread wasn't more popular.

I'm up to Chapter 20 already and it's got amazingly good, since around Chapter 13. The puzzles seem to be more challenging this time around and they've improved some of the hand combat. As I've mentioned before, it's just really great and what you'd expect from an Uncharted game.

U3 was great & I'm looking forward to Golden Abyss, my one big dissapointment is the lack of bonus unlockables 1&2 had...this release just felt empty of content compaired to the first 2...
