So how is/was it? Having been watching the tennis over this - anything worth of note - I guess not by the sounds of things.

Microsoft's was a repeat of last years, I had to turn it off.

Cept no Sesame Street equivalent, Microsoft, I am disappoint.

Microsoft announced SmartGlass to contend with WiiU, they showed of a couple of games using it. It can run on common handheld devices with IOS, Android and Windows 8 tablets.

Nothing noteworthy on the game front, most are coming to WiiU and PS3.

Was worth it for Tomb Raider and Resi 6. Two of my most anticipated games.

South Park: The Stick of Truth looks pretty good.

Didn't watch the live stream so just checking out bits and pieces now. Halo 4 looked pretty damn good to me. Those new enemies look interesting and it certainly looked as though combat with them will be at least somewhat different. Those dog-AI type swarms didn't look great though, I hate swarm-like enemies like that, they come across as such a chore. Liked some of the more subtle stuff too - chief's clunking feet, the helmet/visor edges. Going off what they showed I'd say there's definitely a lot of potential there - I'm sure I'l love it either way. I'm a sucker for the series. Seems to have Metroid-esque vibe going on. Also seems like the forerunners play a part in it, hopefully the three-part arch is significantly different from 1 to 3.

The new Tomb Raider footage looked pretty great. Wreaks of Uncharted, but that's no bad thing in my books. I've always wanted to try that series out. Hard to fathom those set piece scenes, triggers and so on - as is normally the case with that sort of thing, I wonder how much freedom you really have. We shall see. Definitely looked like the levels are carefully sculptured. Also pretty sure the voice for Lara is Lizzie from last season of Californication.

The Kinect FIFA stuff looked okay. But definitely not a reason to buy into that. Hopefully those in-game switches can be done via pad as well, will be annoying if everyone isn't on the same page when it comes to online play and such. Other than the subs and formation calls, everything else seems arbitrary and ultimately a pointless extension. Wait to show Kinect is for core gamers EA/Microsoft.

Checking out the rest. No real surprises I gather.

Devil May Cry

This game has come in for a lot of stick from fans, but I really like the look of this. Bayonetta really did one over DMC, though, so will be interesting to see if this reboot can compare.

Lost Planet 3

I've never really thought much of video game characters but the new Dante is actually very hot.

The new Tomb Raider looked amazing. It's like Uncharted but promises less cheese and more exploration and puzzles. Can't wait.

It looks like a mix between Conduit and Metroid Prime in some parts, mixed in with Halo.

Halo 4 seems to be shaping up quite nicely. I wasn't interested in it at all until after watching that gameplay xD

Lmao Dead Space 3, is nothing more than gears of war meets lost planet. Some one didn't pay attention to capcom's mistakes with re5

I thought it was lost planet when I tuned in, the glowing weak points etc.

So, open with Halo 4 (obviously, but still awesome) then a new Splinter Cell which is great. Looks like Assassin's Creed I think from Fisher's movements up walls / buildings but I guess thats okay. Wish it went back to the more stealthy gameplay in 1-3 but still cool.

..Then literally next 1.30 hours is a snooze fest.. It was pretty bad, Usher was laughable. They played a trailer for a new Gears game then nothing else? Isn't that a pretty big deal?

Black Ops 2 was boring for me, as i'm pretty much over the series now.

Nintendo and Sony literally have to do nothing to have a better conferences than Microsoft.

I thought the Halo 4 main trailer was boring. But I've rarely found Halo campaign's engaging. Only ever enjoyed Reach's campaign, so the fact that the Chief is back isn't really getting me excited.

That clip showing multiplayer looked sublime though.
