Picked the game up last night and had a 3.5 hour marathon. Just finished Ep. 3 and unlocked RAID mode. I've opted to stick with control Type A and use the gyro aiming. No complaints so far.
Let me know if you'd like to join me in RAID mode and I'll add you.
I won't be too much help though since I'm only a lvl 2.
Vorash Kadan said:I'm up for doing that. Already done the bonus stage twice. Little warning before you go into it though, the end is riddled with Lv. 50 enemies... so it can be quite a difficult task if you're a low level like I was. I haven't played any games for a couple of days because I've had to sort a few things out. I'd love to play some Raid Mode whenever though.

I completed the campaign and I was blown away by this game. The thing that stood out the most was the fact the circle pad pro made this game a dream to play, with gyro aiming in third person, the experience made it that much better. I thought the narrative and story of the game was fairly ok it got bit cliché at times, Terragria? seriously?, it was like watching a TV show (previously on Resident Evil Revelations) and playing a horror game at the same time it didn't ruin the fun. The controls I would say are far better than previous Resident Evil games, one of the things I did not like in RE4 was that you could not walk and shoot/knife/reload at the same time. In this you can do that and it just feels right and it also has strafing which makes it easier to maneuver around corners, it does all those things and at the same time doesn't damage the gameplay.
Now onto the enemies, At first they were you know okay but then they got repetitive, then you had those lizards out of Battletoads come into the mix to shit up the action. The only thing I could say that it got tiny bit frightening. Overall main enemies didn't do anything for me as for the last boss I would say the opposite but I won't spoil anything here.
Overall, I think I had more fun playing this game than I did playing Super Mario 3D Land, which sounds strange but its true. As for the controls, well Nintendo are probably going to have make a reiteration in the 3DS at some point with the extra joystick in place, it makes HUGE difference and I can see more developers now opening up to the 3DS. Do I see more big titles coming onto the 3DS? um maybe, if Resident Evil revelations has proved something, it's proven that the 3DS is more than capable of doing some special magic. I can't wait to play Metal Gear Solid 3D next, that will be an awesome game to play on the handheld.

I hope they add more characters/higher level cap & more weapons soon after the update. NOW that dlc is viable on it I'm also hoping for SSF4AE since you can download the expansion on xbl & psn.
I'm only a lvl 43 right now in RAID mode, and still can't beat the bonus stage so I guess I won't be of much help... I'm making steady progress in trying to get all S ranks in ABYSS difficulty though (I'm about halfway through that).
So is anyone here still playing Raid? I'm still waiting to meet up witj you Mush & SuperLink!!
Hey Kafei let's exchange FC's I've maxed out everything (just trying to get level 50 for all weapons & get the Grenade Launcher) so I csn help you out if you want.

Me and SirLink have been trying to play this just lately, been having some issues though. (The connection between us keeps getting terminated.) I helped him through Chasm and Trench difficulties and we're part way through Abyss... but it doesn't seem to want to work for us. I guess the game thinks we're too good for it.
I'm lvl 49 right now and I've loved every minute of this game and mode. Vorash, you can get a grenade launcher? Spoilers!
Also, I have a question. How do you call your partner when you're playing Raid Mode? A few people have done it to me and I've tried everything to do it back. I can't figure it out. Is it a skill you unlock at lvl 50 or something? Sounds pretty stupid, but yeah. It was just something I was wondering.
Well I'll be jumping on tonight if you want to have a go at it. You can host & I'll join so we can finish what you need. The way you talk to someone is hold up on the D-Pad (the Genesis button) & push A,B,X or Y to get different sayings.
Y=Thank You
X=Move ahead
A=Come to me
B=Stop here
Hope that helps & I've gotten S ranks on the bonus stage so if you or anyone needs to do that I can help escort.

Give me 3 hours from now & I'll be on ok. You open a room & I'll be home. Also I'm actually -7 hours GMT & never use daylight savings time.

I figured out how to use the commands today, haha! Can't believe I didn't know that.
I've had S Ranks for all stages for a long time personally .
Also, reporting a weird glitch I had and which I'd like to know if anyone else has encountered. When playing Stage 18, at the part where you need to spin a wheel to cut the steam that blocks your path... I had twice the problem that if I am the one cutting the steam, the other player can pass through fine, but for me, the steam appears to have been shut down but you can still hear the noise if it coming out of the pipes, and I can't get through. I had that problem twice in a row too ! Really annoying because with just 4 phrases it's hard to make it clear to the other player that he has to clear the stage on his own while you're stuck down there.

I had that happen to me once Kafei, host spun wheel, I killed Scarmiglione & host went through.
I HOWEVER kept hitting invisible steam & could hear it from the pipes but didn't see it. My suggestion is try a couple of times to walk through, show your partner that you can't pass, then (hope they're skilled & strong) just keep spamming the "Move ahead" quote & hopefully they'll figure out you're stuck & they need to hit the emblem on their own.
OK so I'm not the only one then. Yeah I did what you just said, since that was the most pretty obvious course of action. The first one seemed to understand what was happening. The second one didn't seem to get it at first, but eventually went ahead. Both cleared the stage without too many problems I guess.

Can't say I've ever encountered this problem, and I've played through that stage quite a few times. I'm guessing it's an issue with lag/something other than that? I remember using a key on a door once when I was playing with SirLink. The door didn't unlock but the key disappeared. Oh, the wonders of lag.
Ok Mush waiting on you...log onto RE ok.
Vorash Kadan said:Crap, sorry. It never said you replied to this topic. I'll make a room now.

EDIT: I have a room open, just want to do Stage 12 Abyss quickly since I have a Wanted Mission on it. Then I'll continue from 15.
EDIT EDIT: Nice games Vorash, gonna head off to bed now. I'll be up for playing some more tomorrow though, if you can. Sorry about when I stood still on Stage 18, I had to go get my USB charger because my 3DS was flashing red.

The "undead" undead glitch must be common to everyone too I think. Sometimes an enemy's energy is completely depleted, but it's still moving about, and causing you damage. But usually, all it requires is on bullet from the other player and he drops dead for good.
It's almost like that enemy's energy level isn't the same on your console and on your partner's. (again most likely due to lag)
Kafei2006 said:This is definitely a problem which is due to lag, it has happened a number of times to me, but it doesn't happen all the time.

Oh, btw. I encountered the stage 18 "glitch" last night. Well, Vorash did.. but like I said, I've never had it happen in any of my games before. Me and my partner have managed to pass by the steam every time. Weird, lol.
EDIT: Where the steam was, I should say. We don't walk right through the steam, that would be silly.

I've encountered yet another one. In the waterway stage (where you have all those sections underwater), right near the end, you need to climb up a ladder, and my character refused to climb up. The icon telling you to press Y to climb it was showing up but she wouldn't grab the ladder and climb, no matter how many times I tried. She didn't dive either, like it happens sometimes when you're not right in front of the ladder. She was right in front of it, and it wasn't working.
The other guy was calling for me, but it was pointless, I just couldn't progress further.
Oh well... Had a couple really nice games this afternoon with dudes that had japanese-sounding nicknames. They were all really nice and helpful.
Kafei2006 said:Again, this is a common lag problem. It happens with doors, elevators, lockers etc. Anything you interact with basically. It usually fixes itself after a few mins, but there are times when it just stays like it.

I thought Capcom madr a statement saying they'd fix the elevator loading/stuttering issue to make it smoother, I'd assume they'd do the same for the steam glitch & responce lag.
Yeah good game Mush & don't worry about it, I'm just glad we FINALLY got together lol. I'm up for a game today sure, I'll message here at around 2PM my time (9 for you?) so check to see if I'm on. Again you host, I'm here to serve & aim to PLEASE!!
Ok Mush I'm ready to Raid, host a room & I'll help you get the rest of the S Ranks you need including the Bonus Stage.
Vorash Kadan said:I have no more S ranks to get. I have them all completed as S rank, I'll get online in a sec though.
