I mean, isn't it quite worrying that all these developers have just walked out on Gamecube?

It doesn't really effect me seing as I buy all the 3rd Party stuff that's not Cube Exclusive for my Xbox to save cube memory space.

But it's still damn annoying.. and think what this could do to the N5, would these people want to come back to Ninty after this?

Your thoughts.

Nah, the developers that walked out are all crap.

its not the end of the world .. you'd be surprised how quickly a lot of these developers seemingly lose their magic touch without nintendo there to guide them.

They maybe crap (in your opinion) however theres no denying that eternal darkness and MGS:TS both get good ratings from most proffessioal reviewers. Also the more support the merrier, the may onl make a few games a year but these build up...i think the main weakness of ninty is the lack of games (not quality games just games)...the variety attracts many people to the playstation2

I never said Silicon Knights were crap - but SK haven't left Nintendo - they've just stopped being a 2nd-party.

OH MY, NINTENDO IS DOOMED! GOD HELP ME! SAVE ME!

I'll be saying that line when Nintendo is no more, until then please go to sleep tonight knowing that you'll be playing Nintendo games for quite a few years yet.

Little bit fanbnoyish, but a fair comment. Look at RARE. Grabbed By the Ghoulies was not a real sure fire hit. What was that down to? You decide.

But I admite a lack of Mortal Kombat has irratated me, but tbh DA was so bad, I'm not going to miss it too much.

I don't think too many developers are dropping from Ninty - just SK and Factor 5 (and even then, only from 2nd party status). It is the publishers who seem to take the hump, like Midway (Mortal Kombat) and Acclaim (Burnout)

While these companies may not stun us with new games every two seconds, they still contiribute to the overall success. The games I mentioned in brackets are probably the ones that mean the most.

Still, I won't lose my sleep over it - the videogame industry is way over our heads and it really isn't our task to try and work it out.

Apart from Rare of course, I'm upset about them leaving - but the other companies I don't really care about.

Cubed3 Member

it does not bother me

Cubed3 Member

Meh, i don't brood about it. Really we hardly miss any good games. The games that don't come out normally don't interest me. I also have a good pc just in case. I think this whole issue is overworried ( i was tempted to say overated)

The ony games I am going to miss are Burnout 3 and Hitman Contracts but besides that all the games like Terminator 3, Driv3r etc haven't got right to even sit in the same rack as Metroid Prime and WW.

Don't worry, think back to the N64 days. These producers will come back to the N5 and if they decide to actually promote good games then they'll sell well and continue on the cube. But if Midway plan on making the same old Rubbish next gen then they'll get poor sales and leave again!
