I'll be going for the first time this year seeing as though it's just down the road from me. I haven't been to a videogame show at Earls Court since ECTS in 1991, where I remember playing Zool of all things...

Is anyone else planning to go, and if you've been in the past, has it been any good?. The developer discussions and the retro area appeal to me, as do all the local pub meet-up's, but the lack of any details concerning Nintendo based products concerns me. I could have been prompted to buy a 4-day pass if those had been forthcoming. I also wonder if there's stuff to buy, specifically videogame memorabilia and Otaku gear, the stuff I'd expect to see at MCM?.

These are the games that have been announced so far:

Resident Evil 6

Tomb Raider

MGS Rising

PES 13

Zone of Enders HD Collection

Lost Planet 3

Assassins Creed 3

Hitman: Absolution

Far Cry 3

I'm hoping it's still early days and there's a lot more good to come. I personally think regardless of any show in September from Nintendo, they should definitely show at EuroGamer Expo. I'd personally like to get some hands-on time with WiiU's third party software, those attending GamesCom soon will. so I'm hoping we in the U.K get a chance also.

Edit:

Last years was brilliant Smilie I've got a press pass for Thursday and Friday so I'll be around.

Last years in a nutshell: Skryim, Rage, CS:GO, BF3, Batman, Onlive (with free consoles), PSVita, Rift, Skyward Sword, Kid Icarus, Luigi's Mansion, Mario Kart. there was tonnes going on and Early Access makes it all the sweeter. You get pretty much all that appears at TGS and Gamescom.

There's bits and bobs to by, but not really like MCM which is where you go for that stuff. I don't like MCM too much anymore, it's so busy and hot. Eurogamer does exactly what it says on the tin.

Q)Any chance the Wii U will make an appearance? If not, is there a possibility that between now and the event, Nintendo may decide to bring it to the expo?

A)The Eurogamer Expo We understand that Wii U is a big deal, we'll do our best to get it at the expo. Smilie

I'm not too bothered about Seeing the Wii U again, I'm still left with a sour taste after playing it Smilie Will be nice to see if they've improved at all.

Because near enough all the games I played could have been done on any other console. They didn't show me anything that convinced me that the screen was Necessary - Nintendo themselves keep telling us that it will change the way we play, but I found it more annoying that anything and broke up the gameplay too much. The Asynchronous play was also weird, it separated out one person whilst the other four had fun around you. The visuals were also worse than Current Gen software, playing Batman and Ninja Gaiden was a painful visual experience. Trine and Rayman Looked good, that was about it. Severely dissapointed, they're not doing a good job at selling it.

I feel the same way, but this expo will take place at the end of September, a month in which Nintendo and third parties are expected to showcase titles that never appeared at E3. One could argue that having a big reveal in September is better strategy, with an ensuing two months to release. Any big game reveals in September could be very potent.

"We're keeping a very close eye on the platform. (We have learned to) never underestimate Nintendo, as proven by the last generation. EA has great franchises poised to be on that platform. We'll probably announce more in the future." - EA's Peter Moore
