Its a game that requires a tablet to enjoy all the features. Strange move by Ubisoft, even if the wii u has a low install base, its gotta be higher than people with a PS4 and a Vita.

It could be. Third parties seem to have a weird trend of having plans for a Wii U release of their game, but only announcing the Wii U version quietly after the PS3/PS4/360/X1 versions. It wouldn't surprise me if this happened again with The Division.

Well wiiU is not next gen so..

The graphics look amazing in an open world.

Non of ubi soft games were announced for wiiU.

Just like bf4 is not coming to wiiU Division is not.

Watch dogs on wiiU could be a 360 port. I doubt it's a ps4 port.

1gb ram in wiiU is lame. Probably uses 3gb ram on ps4.

If u want next gen don't trust in nintendo get a ps4 for $50 more than wiiU and stop being ripped off for the price.

if you don't like nintendo and want to troll, head on over to gamefaqs.

Nah, I'll stick with Nintendo for next gen

The Wii U's graphics capabilities are not nearly as bad as people seem to make them out to be.  The Wii U is definitely stronger than the PS3 and Xbox 360.   There is no denying that it won't be able to beat the PS4 or Xbone One in that regard, but as of yet, it doesn't have to.  The PS4 and Xbox One won't be leaps and bounds beyond the PS3 and 360's graphics for at least the first few years.  Which is something the Wii U can handle.

The PS4 is not as cheap comparatively to the Wii U as it's base price might suggest.  To get use of the second screen features you will need to buy a PS Vita if you don't already have one.  It's sales suggest very few do.  The Wii U's backward's compatiblity applies to it's use of controllers, Wiimotes and Classic Controllers, Wii sales suggest most that would consider a Wii U should have them.

Playstion 4 costs $400                    Wii U costs $350
PS Vita costs       $250                   Gamepad    $0  (1 with system)
PS4 controllers    $50 x3                 Wiimotes    $40 x0 (from Wii)
PSN for online     $60 for a year       Online         $0
Total                   $860                   Total           $350
                                                      Bonus: 2TB Harddrive ~$100 ; Total: $450

I for one definitely hope that The Division does show up on the Wii U, I don't mind hearing about it late if it does actually come out because that's all that matters.

Personally I think the PS4 would be a good investment for those titles that aren't heading to Wii U, and vice versa, the Wii U for the obvious Nintendo exclusives. Both do appear to compliment each other nicely - if you can afford it.

I had to sign up for this site just to point out how stupid this post is. The PS4's primary function is not being played with a second screen. You CAN play with a second screen if you want to with the Vita, but that's just an extra feature. Same with the Xbox One using smartglass. The Wii U is all about the second screen, so if you are comparing the PS4 and Wii U, you can't add to the cost of the PS4 all the features that the Wii U has and PS4 doesn't. You could do that the other way around and the price of the Wii U could also cost $800.

Here is a real, non-bias comparision.

Playstion 4 costs $400                                   Wii U costs $350
PS4 Controller      $0 (1 with system)          Gamepad    $0  (1 with system)
PSN for online      $50 for a year                   Online         $0
Total                   $450                                      Total           $350
                                                                            Bonus: 2TB Harddrive ~$100 ; Total: $450

It's not the least bit stupid. The whole point of this thread, as clearly stated in the first post, is that the game requires a second screen to fully take advantage of all the features.

So the only stupid comparison here is you removing the second screen from the Playstation cost column to try and give it a more competitive cost comparison when the whole point is to compare both second screen setups.

I believe we're seeing another case of misunderstandings here. I'm guessing that JMM005 is thinking that InsaneZuchinni's table applies to general console ownership and not just fans of this particular game. In which case he would be absolutely right in saying InsaneZuchinni's numbers are, well, insane. As a prospective PS4 owner myself I have no intention of dropping $850 on the system because I don't give a toss about the PSVita or this particular game.

However, if we are simply comparing the potential costs involved with playing Division, then InsaneZuchinni's numbers obviously make more sense.

The wii U is not as powerful as the Ps4 and Xbox one... fact... calling it "not next gen" is absurd... of course its next gen.

(Edit) woops, that was meant at web des.
