See the topic title. A lot of people these days have stopped wearing them and just rely on their phones for the time.

Personally, I still have two watches that I interchange. A Swiss watch that I wear as my every day, and a Garmin GPS watch that serves for workouts. The battery on the Swiss died on me earlier this year and I went a few months without - I got used to the phone thing for sure - but went back to the watch when I got the battery fixed. Still like the feeling of having the time on my wrist!

Last time I wore a watch was probably back in 2005/2006? It's forever lost in the uni house we rented (I think, inside the couch lol)

Definitely a phone for me, but most people I know wear a watch.

Seems to still be the "professional" thing to do if in a business suit!

I don't wear watches. They irritate my wrist usually (unless made of silicone) and I don't pay close attention to the time anyway to be honest. My phone does me fine if I really need to know it.

If Apple make an iWatch I'll be sorely tempted to get one of those though.

I still put on my watch whenever I go somewhere but it's not anything special, really. It's one of this brand called G-Shock, though not the exact one below since my model is a few years old now. It does everything I want it to do and I really don't have to care about scratches, water or anything as it's really sturdy. On top of that, I think they make for a pretty good look, if a bit on the sporty side. Looking at my phone for the time just doesn't feel right to me.

An excellent point to bring up - we could well see the watch experience somewhat of a renaissance as Smart Watches arrive. There's already been confirmation that Samsung and Sony are working on such watches, and Apple is definitely prepping one too, even if they don't admit it.

The http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pebble_watch is an attractive Smart Watch available right now. I would have already bought one if I weren't waiting to see what Apple and the rest of the market come up with.

I wear a watch, but not all the time. To be honest, it mostly depends on the occasion, such as business stuff. It functions more as a part of the professional look, rather than actually keeping time.

Working like a fiend isn't very fun... and surprisingly isn't very fiendish either.

I wear a watch when I think about putting it on haha. I've been without one for almost a decade Smilie, and earlier this year my bro bought me one so I started wearing one sometimes... I just tend to forget I have one and forget to put it on actually haha. I sometimes have to remove it cause it irritates my skin as well. My wrists are thinner than most people's so it's hard to find an adult watch that fits me.

I use my phone. I used to wear a wrist watch though.

watch is classic.and i can totally disagree with you most people still wear watches even if they have a up to date smart phone.

I'd wear that!

I worry about watches going smart tbh. I don't want to see people walking around with their whole arm next to their face. People already walk around texting and swiping. We're all robots goddamit, ROBOTS.

Heh, just wait until Google Glass becomes mainstream. We'll all be robots soon enough!

Phone for me. It's like a smart pocket watch. I've discussed before with friends about how great it'd be to make a smart phone case that is metal and has a chain on it to make it feel more like a classy pocket watch.

I have been using my iPod nano 6. I use it as a radio as well. I am not sure i'd purchase an iWatch unless it did something significant...

I used to wear a sports watch when i worked in retail simply because you weren't meant to have a phone on you. I do intend to buy a really nice watch to go with my suit but i also don't like the feeling of it on my wrist either.

I've been tempted nano 6, 'cause I've always thought they looked good, but with a possible Apple watch on the horizon I put getting one on hold. I've always been one for technology that does more than one thing. I find watches a little boring. In the 80's I had a calculator watch and I also had a radio watch. I loved them.

I remember one of my my mates had one, in the mid 90's, that would actually "tell" you the time; I  thought it was pretty hi-tech back then.

I had a calculator one myself Smilie, with different "ringtones" for several programmable alarms, it was pretty cool Smilie.

I generally always wear a watch, this is mine:

I haven't worn it much recently as I've lost weight and I need to remove a link before it's comfortable again. It feels not wearing it tbh, I'm so used to it being there.

I've had this one since I was 17 (now 22) and I've never had to change the time (radio controlled) or swap the battery out (solar powered)- lazy mans watch.

Yeah, I still wear a watch. It's weird; I get asked often why I still bother with a watch (in light of mobile phones). The same people are then always asking me the time, because it's quicker to ask me than to get their phones out of their pockets and look themselves!

I wear one, but im too lazy to set it, it was a gift for my birthday. A big wacth, I wear it for decoration, like a wristband or necklace. Looks nice on my arm.

This the one I got back in September. Nothing too fancy but I quite like the flashy colour Smilie!

I wear one everyday to work. A black and red one that I've gotten a few positive comments on, plus it matches my uniform shirt. Probably not necessary as I can just look at the screen to see what time it is (I'm a cashier), but it come's and handy for breaks, before and after shifts, etc...
I usually don't bring my phone to work.

i do. i will feel weird if not wearing a watch while go out.

Seiko kinetic for me

I've always worn a watch and always will. But I prefer something big, non-standard or unusual, like this:

Love wristwatches, always have. In fact, I miss the weight on my wrist when I'm not. It saves me the problem of taking my phone out and I'm always very time conscious, especially when I'm dashing around town. People always tend to ask me the time as I guess my habit of watch wearing is quite noticeable!

Piiiiii...ka.....SUEEEEEEE!
