There's a huge resurgence for 2D games - and definitely room in some capacity for a 2D Castlevania, perhaps a smaller team who'll put together a side-scroller on the eShop/digital download.

Well until they release BOTH Lords of Shadow titles for the Wii U they won't be reaching ME OR the veteran gaming audience that proudly chooses Nintendo over the other 2.

It is not wise to speak on subjects you do not know all facts about, nor is it smart to judge a game based on looks alone. PSN: Nintendo_Gamer 3DS: 4296-3029-7422

Yes of course, let's just drop the whole reason Castlevania is so treasured and acclaimed as a gaming series that excelled in its time as a pinnacle of game design and opt for a generic AAA experience instead. Who cares about what Castlevania was and could be, none of that matters when you have a big audience who couldn't care less to capture amirite. Making a new IP to do such things is absolutely out of the question, because new IPs have done so badly for companies like Ubisoft lately!

There's a reason games like Super Metroid and Castlevania: Symphony of the Night are still so celebrated today for what they did for gaming and for still being THE key examples people bring up in a mostly underdone sub-genre, and it's a shame that Konami wants nothing to do with that.

i agree I just got a WiiU and would like Lords of Shadow, considering my Ps3's broken
Just make another symphony of the night guys. Maybe if the sales aren't too good someone might change their mind some day. There were the DS titles too I haven't played them

Castlevania IV <3

I agree.
