A truly amazing song, Eric Clapton is a genius. Tears In Heaven, anyone?

Eh?

Arguably one of the best air guitar songs ever!

Eric Clapton? Of course!
He did a great cover of Bob Dylan's Knockin on Heavens Door too.

Wooh Bob Dylan what a God, I must look into Eric Clapton more though

i like eric claptop a lot... the unplugged album is great!
As for tears in heaven- a great song, surprisingly few people know what its about though.

That would be because nobody ever listens to song lyrics and tries to work them out...

its nothing to do with the lyrics... well obviously it is, but i mean he's said what its about... everybody listens to it and is like "wow what a pretty song" and they have no idea thats its really pretty tragic.

Yeah, Layla is a good song! I can play it too

I can play it three! ![]()
And it's agreed that it is one of THE best air guitar songs ever!

i love this song..shame i cant play guitar
"Let's make the best of the situation
Before I finally go insane.
Please don't say we'll never find a way
And tell me all my love's in vain"

I think it has a lot to do with intination and HOW you say/sing things. There is something very calming and warm about the sound of the song...but the actual meaning is truly devastating.

For anyone who's wondering what GR781 and Tempo are talking about. Eric Clpaton's son fell out of the window of a high rise. This is Eric's mourning song and one of his best works. It perfectly captures that point in time when you are just overcomming your grief and are dealing constantly with sadness tinged happiness.
