Out in a week!

Here's a handy video showing how to get everything unlocked on day one.

Not very convenient, but it's an option.

Anyone got theirs early?

Thinking mine will come tomorrow now, but there's a very slight chance I might get it later today. Pretty excited about it, to be honest, the most I've been excited for a 2D Mario game ever. I guess it's because I can get the chance to play stages I can enjoy more; I imagine not everyone will be trying to make super hard stages, I know I won't.

If anyone's got some levels they wanna share, post here. I'll give 'em a blast.

I've hardly had any time for this lately - just a few plays of some levels here and there - but I'll defo try to make something soon.

I haven't played much of this either, so I should really mess around in Creation mode a bit to unlock all the tools for whenever I'll actually create something. I do have ONE idea for a level that I'll try creating eventually, not sure if I'll be able to make it work as intended, though.

Trying the 100 Mario Challenge on Expert is just asking to be bombarded with cheap and terribly designed levels. One of them was quite fun, but that was one out of a dozen. Thank god for the skip feature, otherwise I would have ragequit after the first BS-filled level I encountered.

I also despise any levels that use springs or music note blocks in tricky situations. For some unknown reason, I just can't get used to their timing and always end up messing up the high jumps off of them.

Will post some of mine up later. Smilie

I've been making one each day so far, and I've been super happy with the feedback! I haven't made one today, but made a start on a new course, which will be completed tomorrow (hopefully!)

I also hate the springs and musical blocks for important/mandatory jumps. They're so cheap, which is why I'll never use them in my courses for that sort of thing.

My first uploaded course: Canon Jumps!
6D37-0000-0055-099C

Not my course, but I thought this one was clever:
B735-0000-000F-D288

I guess we can share tips here, too!

There's one thing I've come across on a very small amount of stages, but I think it's really important to share as it can lead to a really poorly designed level. There's a few stages I've played where you're absolutely forced to restart the stage, because there's no way of progressing. This is usually caused by someone putting a P switch in a block and then if you mess up, you're not able to get another. This would be fine if there's another route, but when there's not, you're forced to restart the course. This is bad level design, in my opinion.

There is a fix for this. If you put them in a pipe and then it will spawn unlimited of them.

This is my latest course:

Attack of the Fiery Fish!!!: 426F-0000-005D-5C21

You'll be able to access my others by going onto my profile through that course!
