This has been on my mind for a couple of days now so i thought of just making a thread about it.Is super mario 64x4 going to be only multiplayer or will it include (the best platformer ever) a port of the original super mario 64 with it?

Sounds good, but how would you make it multiplayer? I don't understand how it would work.

On the subject of Mario, I can't remember so can someone tell me if Mario Kart is coming to the DS? If so, is it available on the launch?

Not just a port; quite a significant update! And multiplayer as well. Smilie

    Courtesy of Lik-sang.com:

The DS revival of the Nintendo 64 classic combines three separate modes -- the main game, a versus game, and a mini-game collection. The main game remixes the original Mario 64 with new stages and new playable characters, including Luigi, Yoshi, and Wario, as well as a map interface on the lower DS screen for easy navigation. The versus game takes those same characters and pits them against each other in a race to collect the most star fragments, while the mini-game collection contains more than 30 challenges based on the DS touch screen. Using the DS game download feature, four players can compete with just one DS game card.

So take one truly phenomenal Adventure/platformer (about the best there has ever been) throw in more characters like Luigi, Yoshi and my personal fav Wario make a bunch challanges, races and mini games - all made four player, wireless and through one cart = one frickin awesome DS title.

Edits, stupid typo - credited lik-sand.com for the info. Probably a fetish site about sand Smilie

Mario Kart comes out on the 10th of Janurary in the States and is a release in Japan (2nd of December).

Never played Mario 64, so it's gonna be a whole new experience for me. But all arrows point to that it's going to be a new experience anyways.

    I envy you, seriously.

Pick up the game, forget about any new features - just play the as Mario and you'll find one of the finest pieces of Software ever made Smilie

Mario Kart DS wont be the same as Mario Kart 64 I dont think.

Its using polygon charcters for a start... and it looks to be a different (Ie:better) game altogether.

That's my plan Smilie I already have the baby ordered.

I didn't pick up the 64 version because its quality would have been seriously tainted by Zelda at that point of time. So this is a god send for me.
