I want to know why everyone is after the new Playstation2??
Playstation 2 has been out in the UK 3-4 years. So why suddenly the big demand?

And WHY did Sony release a load of different coloured Normal PS2's if they were to release the mini PS2 and stop production of the normal one not too long after Smilie

Anyone have one of the new PS2s? Do you think the flip top loading, and the circular stand :alien: ruined what could have been a decent re-make?

Cause people want it. Its still the most poular console and then just cause they sold 20 million in the \UK dsnt stop another 20 milion from buying it. Its cheap and popular

its all part of sony's plan for world dominaion. they hid special mind-controlling devices in the first PS2s and made their owners have a sudden urge to buy yet another PS2 and futher infest their house with evil... then, late one night, the PS2s will come alive and consume us ALL!!!! they will use their evil mind-beding abilitys, and fource us to all buy PSPs! the horror of it all! imangine it... everyone owning a PSP--even little innocent children! the horror!!... or maby the PS2 is just a good product and people like it? noncence.

Yup thats a point actually. M$ is doing a good job for the Xbox, giving it the same "cool" factor as the Playstation 2

Its neither of those things, its crap and its the most expensive console on-sale in the UK. It has a lot of games, not a lot of great games, most people just buy it because everyone else has it.

Yep thats about right. Another reason is probably because it has so many crappy sports games. Smilie
I think the new slimline is the same idea which Sony used for the PSone. I.e. Make it more stylish, then sell it cheaper so all the guys without one, buy it.
