Interest waned.( Edited on 18.08.2007 23:03 by Slydevil )

Comment by Mason, on 18.08.2007 at 23:15

I'm pretty much behind the scenes at the moment, but we are trying to get onto the matter. We have a few reviews that should be going up soon. Personally I've just been on holiday and been doing a bunch of overtime at work, which is why I've not been writing anything up.

On the review front, send them to me as well, since I'm reviews editor. Send me a PM.

Comment by Mr. T, on 18.08.2007 at 23:00

I know I have a lot of feature content and ideas planned, but it is all rather dependent on certain things. We've got some great ideas in the pipe-line, but there is a lot to work on before I'm willing to set out a whole new editorial direction and suchlike. It is coming though and it is a major concern of mine. Stay tuned, it'll be worth the wait.

Comment by MattEvansC3, on 18.08.2007 at 22:20

I'm working on the Brothers in Arms DS review, the others are winding down the end of the school year and ramping up the next but are still working on the C3 content.

If you want to help out, by all means send a review or news article to Adam or James and see what they say.

Comment by Modplan Man, on 18.08.2007 at 22:09

Thought as much, I know in regards to reviews/previews, especially on Wii there hasn't been a whole glut of games to review and stuff recently, and again the GCSE's/A levels, or "personal commitments" are a bit of a sucker, just worried JB will end up doing everything on his own while Jesus swans off on his own stealing nibris preview versions, just kinda seemed a little short handed.

Comment by MattEvansC3, on 18.08.2007 at 21:43

In fairness there has been a lot going on with GCSEs, A Levels and summer holidays and the summer is normally a dry period anyway.

Comment by Modplan Man, on 18.08.2007 at 21:38

Does anybody think that maybe C3 needs to be re-staffed? I'm talking writers/contributers here, not mods.

Why?

Well, for the most part reviews have dried up. Same with previews.

Features, and has been specifically mentioned before, the podcast, have practically gone.

There only seems to be 2 reporters, Jesus/Adam and JB himself, and along with that C3 seems to be falling behind a bit in news updates (nothing personal!), apart from the nibris updates and occcasional interview.

Most of the past staffers seem to not be here anymore for whatever reasons or just haven't written anything in an incredibly long time (again for whatever reasons).

Just a suggestion, might be mistaken and some are just working away behind the scenes. If C3 is re-stafffed was also thinking it could be peeps from outside of C3 to bring in fresh blood, maybe make a competition out of it - get each to write a standalone feature on a specific topic or on a specific topic and have C3 judge?
