Sounds like the real deal to me. Nintendo is going hardcore. And while they might have a slightly kidish appeal their solid games and second to none gameplay combined with the new feature of the wii u nd the deep social interaction will be awesome.

Comment by Supa_hyped, on 11.06.2012 at 12:42

The whole point of that gamepad is versatility. Even if its just Mini games, boardgames, socialnetworking sites, apps and the internet. Having the ability to multitask should b a showcased feature of the machine. Even more so now that 2 gamepads have been confirmed. For me, if it can play 2 games at once that would be ideal for me.

Comment by Sonic_13, on 11.06.2012 at 07:19

Yes, one goal is to have it as a family gaming machine...as in "every family member plays a game together", not "every family member sits in their own corner playing their own game".

Comment by ebgeer, on 07.06.2012 at 18:40

"Scibetta didn't touch upon whether players would or wouldn't be able to "log in" to other Wii U systems, like Microsoft's Xbox Live, at a friend's house for example."

This is the part that concerns me. Not that I use the function on PSN to use my account on another PS3--but I do sign in on the internet to see if friends are online, etc.

But I could see households having more than 1 WiiU and having to create multiple accounts for single individuals.
Comment by Supa_hyped, on 07.06.2012 at 18:02

for times when my daughter wants to play Mario but my son wants to play fifa. Or I want to play football manager and the Mrs wants to play wiifit. Is it not a family gaming machine? Cuz I thought that's what nintendo were aiming for

Comment by Azuardo, on 07.06.2012 at 17:48
Depends on the game. Uncharted 3 allows two PSN accounts. Would be ideal, though. It's something I'd been craving with MK Wii since my mate always had to be a guest and never gained racing points for it.

Comment by Canyarion, on 07.06.2012 at 16:34

Why would you want to run 2 games at once? o_O

Anyway, I hope you can protect your account with a password. It will be safer for when you have kids and you have disabled Miiverse communication for them.

Comment by Supa_hyped, on 07.06.2012 at 15:45

Wonder if 2 games can run at the same time.. That would be epic!

Comment by Stulaw, on 07.06.2012 at 14:02
True dat.

Well, it's good that they've got some sort of system that allows user profiles, I hope you can have atleast 2 logged on at once for multiplayer like the 360, PS3 only allows 1 plus guests.
