Spain haven't been their best and last night's game v France was boring as hell.

I think England have a decent shout against Italy, but it's gonna be a close one, I reckon. Will stick with my original prediction of Italy going through. Got my quarter predictions all correct so far.( Edited 24.06.2012 17:09 by Azuardo )

Comment by Martin_, on 24.06.2012 at 17:04

Weeks late, I notice that we don't have a Euro 2012 thread. For shame, C3!

It's England V Italy tonight. Predictions? Personally, I think tonight is the night we go home. To be fair, I haven't seen an Italy game this year. So maybe they're having a bad run. Certainly, the Italy of yore would have totally crushed this England side.

That game against the Ukraine was especially-excruciating. Were it not for Joe Hart saving ten shots on goal in the first half.. we'd have gone out. Rooney scored but a toddler's goal.

Anyway, I have lots of pessimism going into tonight's game. Maybe we'll hold them back right until the end, where we bring fresh legs on (Oxlade, Walcott) who run rings around tired opposition. That's the best scenario I see happening.
