Also for maximum mind&#45;screwage Sora won't be either. :P<br/><br/>Anyways, am thinking of a Kairi training arc game as the next in the line, using some plot device that requires her to visit the 7 worlds of the Princesses of Heart, and then rescue Aqua from the realm of Darkness. So far the three keyblade wielders have become intertwined with the three from the destiny islands at some point. <br/>Ventus linked his heart with Sora's when it was damaged twice, is now residing within it, and is responsible for how Roxas looked. Terra gave Riku the ability to one day use the Keyblade and became his inspiration for seeing what lay beyond the islands. Plus to a degree it was Terranort that possessed him originally and forced him to confront his inner Darkness. Aqua unwittedly passed on the keyblade ability to Kairi and cast on her the charm that would send her to the Destiny Islands. So it would make sense if each character saved their predecessor.<br/><br/>A Kairi&#45;based KH game would probably be more magic&#45;based than a heavy combat title, but its something I'd like to see, just for shits and giggles. :P [/spoiler] http://www.cubed3.com/topic/62531First of all welcome to C3! Well.. I hope, I was impressed with how they wrote Riku so maybe they can redeem another character in KHIII.<br/><br/>As for Vanitas.. I'm not sure why Riku was wearing Vanitas' clothes, for now I'll just assume it's dark armour that comes from Xehanort.<br/><br/>Vanitas was shown next to Xehanort when he said 'your heart's a prison' because Ven's heart (and therefore Vanitas') currently lives inside Sora's body; Vanitas being the asshole he is obviously wants to escape and wreck some shit.<br/><br/>And Xehanort is.. really confusing so I'm not totally sure. Xehanort disposed of both his original body in BBS, and also Terra's body when he split into a Heartless and Nobody.<br/><br/>Xehanort's homeworld is Destiny Islands, so my theory is that Terranort, after researching Heartless with Ansem and becoming one himself, obviously became a Heartless and created a Nobody, leaving his Heart alone as its own separate entity. This is the brown cloaked figure left on Destiny Islands, and he was able to switch around in time with him.[/spoiler]<br/>Does that even make sense? I'm trying to make sense of this still myself.<br/><br/>I'm currently having a bit of a KH marathon in my excitement for KHIII.. which is probably a long ways off but still. Common consensus is that it's quite weak.<br/>Imo though Days is easily the weakest.<br/><br/><br/>And here's my response to all those thoughts:<br/><br/>[spoiler]<br/>Was actually very annoyed and mixed on the Axel/Lea thing. Don't get me wrong I quite like him as a character, but it was obviously put in just for the sake of the character's popularity. There's no way he was initially intended to be a keyblade wielder, they're only doing this because he makes the fangirls squeal. Single biggest instance of popularity over creative integrity I've seen in the series thus far. I'm worried he'll feel really shoehorned or poorly written from this point onward so hopefully I'll be wrong.<br/><br/>As for who became master I was both surprised and not at all surprised. Riku had really changed, he had his head in the game and was reasonable and smart throughout, always making the right decisions in difficult situations where Sora often did not. He's changed so much and as a result of overcoming all his hardships I agree with YenSid that he's really worthy of the title, even if Sora is the hero. Riku's grown on me a lot in this game alone and I'm proud of him, considering how much I used to dislike him.<br/><br/>Sora will probably become a master throughout the course of Kingdom Hearts III, it'll likely be his story again of course.<br/><br/>As for the 7 Keyblade Wielders:<br/>&#45; Ven<br/>&#45; Aqua<br/>&#45; Terra<br/>&#45; Sora<br/>&#45; Riku<br/>&#45; Mickey<br/>&#45; Lea<br/><br/>I'd actually prefer Kairi to Lea but I think Squeenix really hate Kairi, despite apparently being an important character she's boringly written and never given any real feel of importance besides occasional damsel in distress. If Square had the choice they would probably write her out of the plot completely.<br/><br/>Nothing about Kairi is excessive, despite being the most important Princess of Heart her significance to the series is thus far almost negligible (besides the fact she's partially responsible for the creation of Namin&eacute;/Roxas and Xion)[/spoiler]<br/><br/>As you can see I have a lot on my mind about KH :D( Edited 28.07.2012 17:29 by SuperLink )
