Focused around the theme of &amp;#39;&lt;strong&gt;British Summer 2012&amp;#39;&lt;/strong&gt;, the winning film will be &lt;strong&gt;premiered before the Nintendo Gala screening at the 56th BFI London Film Festival&lt;/strong&gt;, which takes place from 10 &amp;#45; 21 October 2012.&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;strong&gt;&lt;i&gt;Nintendo 3DS XL and the BFI present A Vision in 3D,&lt;/i&gt;&lt;/strong&gt; offers an incredible introduction to the film industry for the next generation of UK film talent. For further information on how to upload your film visit&amp;#58; &lt;a href=&quot;http&amp;#58;//www.nintendo.co.uk/3dsbfifilmcomp&quot;&gt;http&amp;#58;//www.nintendo.co.uk/3dsbfifilmcomp&lt;/a&gt; [blog]&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;i&gt;A Vision in 3D&lt;/i&gt; is supported by competition figurehead &lt;strong&gt;Ridley Scott&lt;/strong&gt; (&lt;i&gt;Prometheus&lt;/i&gt;, &lt;i&gt;Blade Runner, Gladiator&lt;/i&gt;) and entries will be judged by an expert panel that includes competition mentors&lt;strong&gt; Stuart Warren&amp;#45;Hill&lt;/strong&gt; &amp;#45; an AV artist and innovator in the field of electronic music and visual media, founder of Hexstatic, Holotronica and co&amp;#45;founder of the Big Chill &amp;#45; and &lt;strong&gt;Asif Kapadia,&lt;/strong&gt; director of hit documentary &lt;i&gt;Senna&lt;/i&gt;.&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;The winner will be announced in early September and will then have the opportunity to shoot a new 3D short film, in collaboration with the two mentors and a professional crew, on location in London.&Acirc;&nbsp; The resulting film will be &lt;strong&gt;premiered before the Nintendo Gala screening at the BFI London Film Festival&lt;/strong&gt; in October 2012.&Acirc;&nbsp;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;The 3 runners&amp;#45;up will each receive a pair of tickets to the BFI London Film Festival and a BFI Membership for one year if they are over 18, or a one year subscription to Sight and Sound Magazine if they are under 18.&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;To inspire and guide interested competition participants, mentor &lt;strong&gt;Stuart Warren&amp;#45;Hill &lt;/strong&gt;will give a FREE &lt;strong&gt;special 3D film Masterclass at BFI Southbank&lt;/strong&gt;, on &lt;strong&gt;Saturday 11 September&lt;/strong&gt; at 11am. The class will be filmed and made available online.
