Happened with Tales of the Abyss on 3DS.

Comment by JayUK, on 12.10.2012 at 14:56

The first game was a broken mess, warren spector says the sequel fixes a lot of the issues. It'll be interesting to see what the reviews are like. It seems like they're rushing it though, so I won't hold my breath

Comment by Mandown, on 12.10.2012 at 09:15

....According to IGN

- Oswald's powers are based more around mechanics and electricity
- Game requires cooperation to succeed
- Certain enemies are more vulnerable to different power sets
- Puzzles will require both players to complete
- Working with an AI partner seems to face some issues in the most current demo
- Camera issues still crop up
- Surfaces have a very slippery nature
- Camera often sits too low
- No plans for Pro controller support

... basically all the things I disliked about the first game.

Comment by Guest, on 12.10.2012 at 07:38

I hated wii mote controls during first game. That was the reason why I hated Wii. Glad to know Wii U is not requiring wiimote to play EM 2. Pro controller would still be better than gamepad though.

Comment by Canyarion, on 11.10.2012 at 22:05

I'm surprised they didn't delay the whole EU release... that's what they usually do if they have to translate.

I wonder how many French players will get the English version instead. Maybe they'll finally learn some proper English from this game! ;)

Comment by Mandown, on 11.10.2012 at 21:57

I wasn't going to get this version anyway, it's not made by Junction Point

It's delayed in France

"Epic Mickey 2 is going to make Wii U launch in most of Europe, minus France. It appears that Epic Mickey 2 on Wii U is going to get a French dub for that part of Europe. That's going to take some time, pushing the release back to Spring 2013."Â

Comment by SuperLink, on 11.10.2012 at 21:07
Not bad at all.. just not the AAA Mario killer it was supposed to be. A pretty unanimous disappointment after the astronomical hype. Supposedly the sequel's a lot better in many aspects but I'll be waiting for reviews.. atm it sounds like the Wii version will surprisingly be the definitive version, visuals aside of course.
Comment by Canyarion, on 11.10.2012 at 21:03

Wasn't the first game pretty bad?

Comment by Marzy, on 11.10.2012 at 21:00

Looks like I'll be getting the Wii version now. :(

Comment by SuperLink, on 11.10.2012 at 20:45

You can't use the Wiimote in single player? Bizarre.. I thought that was an important part of Epic Mickey's control scheme regardless of controller-only versions. You'd just think that they'd allow Wiimote use for the WiiU version, especially if the PS3 version allows Move usage (which I'm assuming it does?)
