It must be a translation error because other news sites seem to think the Nintendo Dream interview states it would be fully voiced too, but only the anime cutscenes will be fully voiced and besides that will be mostly the same as usual perhaps with more voice clips. Bit of a shame it's not fully voiced but oh well!

Capcom's Voice Acting quality is one of their only consistently good traits in recent years so I wouldn't be worried about how this turns out!

Comment by Guest, on 23.10.2012 at 17:28

This article is incorrect. The cutscenes animated by Bones are fully voice acted, but the normal gameplay sections still use the standard "blip-blip-blip" text sound effects. The gameplay footage we've seen already clearly shows this.

Source:Â http://forums.court-records.net/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=24819

Comment by Super Sonic, on 23.10.2012 at 11:13

I wonder if they will get Sam Riegle for the part like they did in UMvC3? Would be interesting to see how it pans out instead of just voice clips, and I want them to be good VA's as well.

Comment by Jacob4000, on 22.10.2012 at 23:04

Nice - I always thought the drama in Phoenix Wright could benefit from voice acting. Provided they don't screw it up.

edit: Fixed Write to Wright...what is wrong with me.( Edited 25.10.2012 21:51 by Jacob4000 )

Comment by jb, on 22.10.2012 at 08:29

This post is a copy of the news report: http://www.cubed3.com/news/17324All posts made in this forum topic below will appear as news comments on the above link. If you make a comment on the original article link above, it will also appear here as a forum post. The courtroom drama has unraveled in new details for Ace Attorney 5 in the latest issue of Japanese magazine, Nintendo Dream.

Despite a return to the original protagonist Phoenix Wright, there will be a handful of changes this time round. Original creator Shu Takumi is working on other projects, so Motohide Eshiro (of Ace Attorney Investigations) will be acting as producer.

Four writers and the character designed shacked up for four days, three nights to devise the overall plot for the game and the opening explosion seen in the debut trailer.

[blog]

The return to Phoenix also caused some issues - the team wanted a blend of traits from his wiser guise in Apollo Justice, but with his "youth" from Trials and Tribulations. A handful of popular characters will also step back into the world of Phoenix Wright, but carefully selected by Eshiro to try to avoid the forced cameo approach.

The Heart Scope, a new device worn by partner Kokone, will be key to uncovering witness emotions during a testimony.

Voices - one of the highlights of the report - will be cause for concern with some fans as Ace Attorney 5 will be the first game in the longrunning series to feature voice acting, stepping away from the classic effects. The first reason was the improvement in hardware with the 3DS, and secondly to try and blend cut-scenes with the in-game sequences.
