The sports games are all gimped and games like this and the lack of Mass Effect Triliogy scream wasted opportunities.( Edited 27.10.2012 19:35 by Ifrit XXII )

Comment by Vorash Kadan, on 27.10.2012 at 18:27

Cannot WAIT for this especially since Criterion is involved. I wonder what extras we'll get since they're waiting so long after the initial release. Got a BIIIIIG feeling this won't be just a rushed port.

Comment by Azuardo, on 27.10.2012 at 18:14

Project CARS is moving along quickly. It's insane how good it looks. Not sure the console versions will look this good, but it's impressive. The sandbox social play of Burnout Paradise or NFSMW is more my thing, though.

Some tasty recent CARS shots:

Comment by Mush, on 27.10.2012 at 17:47

Great that Wii U is getting more support, even if it is a few months after the other releases, it's really nice to see 3rd party devs supporting the Wii U.

Speaking of racing games though, whatever happened to that Project CARS game? That looked really nice, even though I'm not a big fan of racing games. A lot of people like realistic racing games, so yeah would be nice to see more of that Project CARS game.

There's only one racing game I'm waiting for on Wii U, though. That's Mario Kart. Though I may get Sonic Allstars Transformed, as that looks really fun. We'll see how the reviews are though..

Comment by Phoenom, on 27.10.2012 at 15:56

Missing the immediate launch window isn't the best idea EA. Neither was announcing a Mass Effect Trilogy pack for PS360 when you're revamping 3 as a Wii U game. :/

Comment by Azuardo, on 27.10.2012 at 14:38

My interest in this rose a lot when I saw Criterion were developing it. My interest in this increased ten times once people starting dubbing it "Burnout Paradise 2." I will definitely be keeping my eye on this in the future. Hoping the Christmas sales will knock it down a bit!

Comment by Azuardo, on 27.10.2012 at 14:34

This post is a copy of the news report: http://www.cubed3.com/news/17357All posts made in this forum topic below will appear as news comments on the above link. If you make a comment on the original article link above, it will also appear here as a forum post.EA has confirmed to Polygon that Need for Speed: Most Wanted will be heading to Nintendo's Wii U console in 2013.

After being listed in Nintendo's recent financial report, along with other third party games, EA then confirmed the arrival of the racer for the next generation Nintendo system.

Need for Speed: Most Wanted is developed by British-based company Criterion Games, known famously for their Burnout series. The game takes on a similar style to Burnout Paradise, in which players take the role of a car in a sandbox world, and compete against other racers to reach a destination, avoiding cops and being arrested. Destructible billboards and fences and drive-through petrol stations and garages from Burnout Paradise return in Most Wanted.

An inspired cross-compatible social feature known as Cloudcompete is introduced, linking all versions of the game together, and allowing players to use one profile to progress on one platform and continue on another. It is currently unknown if the Wii U version will be incorporated into this.

Have a look at the launch trailer for Need for Speed: Most Wanted below.

[iframe width="630" height="344" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/IpGS1K9mLPQ" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen][/iframe]

Need for Speed: Most Wanted is launching for PlayStation 3, PlayStation Vita, Xbox 360, Microsoft Windows, iOS, Android and Kindle Fire in North America on 30th October, in Australia on 1st November and in Europe on 2nd November, and for Wii U in 2013.
