It’s that time of the week again, as Cubed3 takes a look at the UK chart placings for the week ending 13th September, courtesy of NielsenIQ and GfK Entertainment.
This week’s chart-topper is the newly released Borderlands 4 on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, with Take 2’s latest being most popular on Sony’s current generation format (80% share). It means that Mario Kart World slips a spot to No.2, but Donkey Kong Bananza is resurgent over the past seven days, climbing back up two to No.3. EA Sports FC 25 continues to prove buoyant ahead of its successor’s imminent launch, sliding just two to No.4, ahead of Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater from Konami, which is now down to No.5. Take 2 sees some of its other titles rebound on the back of Borderlands interest, with Mafia: The Old Country back up five to No.8, Grand Theft Auto V driving back up from No.16 to No.9, and NBA 2K26 alley-ooping its way up a couple of spots to No.12 (with both Switch and Switch 2 versions only accounting for 3% of sales each).
Star Wars Outlaws’ Switch 2 version continues to help keep Ubisoft’s latest tie-in riding high, slipping just three spaces to No.10 with a 53% overall share of weekly sales, compared to 38% on PS5. Cronos: The New Dawn drops hard from No.4 to No.14, with Switch 2 taking a measly 6% share, well behind PS5’s 84% lion’s take. Elsewhere, Gears of War on PS5 continues its freefall, this week down from No.10 to No.23, whilst Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound‘s limited retail release via Silver Lining Interactive arrives at No.25, with a pretty even split between the Switch (52%) and PS5 (48%) versions.
